Strategic plan for the place of the natural Science stream coordinator

Vision of the University: Wachemo University aspires to become one of the

first class Universities in Ethiopia.

If I win the place for first year Natural Science stream coordinator, I will

Prepare plan and budget

Plan and supervise teaching-learning process
Prepare slip and follow up the registration of the students
Make good relationship between teachers and students
Schedule consultation hour
Prepare class schedule and follow up the as the teachers
Facilitate the teaching-learning atmosphere
Conduct performance evaluation for those common course teachers that have no
their own departments
Submit quarterly, semester and annual report to the Academic director
Carryout other tasks assigned by Academic Director
Prepare and ensure common course books to the relevant courses
Ensure the policies, rules and regulations are implemented

Direct the teaching and research activities of the stream;

Promote the enhancement of the quality and relevance of teaching and research in
the Department;
Follow up and executes the decisions and recommendations of the AC and the
stream;
Seek to provide opportunities for educational and professional development of the
staff and students of the stream;
Follow up on the processing of appointments, promotions, salary increments and
other benefits due to the staff members of the stream in accordance with the rules
and regulations of the University;
Ensure the efficient running of the stream;
Prepare plans, programs and budgets for the activities of the Department and closely
supervises the implementation of approved plans, programs and budgets;
Create conducive atmosphere for the expansion of academic and research efforts in
the stream.
Prepare relevant information on the teaching, research and service capabilities of
the Department and disseminates the same;
Assign an academic advisor for each student to help him in his education
Supervise the proper use of resources within the stream;
Ensure that teaching staff members of the stream submit periodic consultation with
the staff, takes appropriate actions on issues reports on their teaching and research
activities and, in raised in such reports;
Record of activities of every staff member of the stream to serve as inputs for
evaluation of staff members. Such records include reports on research work,
publications, conference papers and talks, status of works in progress during that
year, public services and participation in University affairs;
Create conducive atmosphere for the expansion of academic and research efforts ;
Set out on how to nominate part-time instructors;
Submit quarterly, semester and annual report to the Academic Director;
Carries out other relevant tasks assigned to him by the Academic Director;
