The QA team crafted a table of specifications covering competencies for an aquaculture grade 12 standardized test. They assigned writers to develop test questions according to the table. The QA team then validated the completed test, ensuring questions measured learning outcomes, followed best practices for question construction, and addressed cultural and gender issues. The validated test was submitted to the head of the division for final review.

Quality assurance for Standardized Test Questionnaire for TVL Aquaculture
January 22, 2022
The standardized test questionnaire covers the second quarter competencies of aquaculture grade 12. The Quality Assurance team crafted the Table of Specifications comprising 50 items then assigned it to the writers of the test questionnaires. We see to it that the TOS covers the Learning Competencies which we got from the MELCS for the second quarter. The format of the TOS was followed from the division prescribed template and indicated the LC codes per learning competencies. After drafting the TOS, we had a thorough review of our output before assigning it to the writers.

The Quality Assurance team validated the Test Questionnaire based on the Table of Specifications assigned to the writers. All test items measured the expected learning outcomes required by the competencies and it is according to rules of construction. The questions or items for LOTS - Remembering and Understanding, items for MOTS - Applying and Analyzing, and questions for HOTS - Evaluating and Creating are all aligned according to the expected Cognitive Process Dimension. The questions are meaningful and alternatives are plausible and also sensitivity to cultural and gender issues are observed. The alternatives are homogeneous in content and presented in logical order. The font style and size are followed, options are written in capital letters, all items are grammatically correct, and the instructions are clear. Finally, the answer key is included in the test package, the answers show the best and correct answers and the set of answer keys has no errors. The Test Questionnaire was submitted to Mr. Elnie Barcena after the detailed review and editing of submitted the test questionnaire.
