Question 1

Discuss what organisational policy and procedures an organisation may develop and
implement to manage project quality. In your answer, explain why a quality management
policy is important.

Depending on the nature and scope in which the project is developed, certain quality parameters
must be adopted in order to provide assurance to customers that a quality service is being
provided, and also as a company it is guaranteed that the quality system internal is appropriate.
There are quality standards that allow adopting specifications for certain products or services, these
standards can be issued by Australian standards, international standards. On top of that, the
company can develop internal policies, rules of conduct, organizational policies, among others, in
order to achieve the quality objective that it has.

Improving product/service The high demand and competition that can be seen in any
quality. industry requires that the products or services are in
continuous improvement in order to offer a higher quality or
better service and to be able to excel in the sector. To achieve
this, good planning and constant research are required to find
opportunities for improvement.
Reducing waste The main goal of procedures for continuous improvement is to
decrease waste and boost overall efficiency. The garbage that
must be disposed of may vary from business to business.
Materials, labor, significant surplus expenditures, and other
resources that don't add value to your organisation are the
ones that are most frequently targeted.

Question 3

Discuss the importance of implementing quality assurance processes and requirements.


Provide at least two examples of quality assurance processes and requirements to
support your answer. (50-100 words)

Implementing a quality assurance system in any process is of great importance to guarantee that
products and services are of quality, guaranteeing compliance with national and international
standards that guarantee the veracity of the product, thus protecting both the consumer and the
company from infringing some legislative norm.
1. Manufacturing. In the pharmaceutical industry, certain specifications must be met to guarantee
that the drugs are suitable for consumption, guaranteeing that the product was manufactured
under high quality standards. As a concrete example, the FDA is in charge of controlling the
production processes of this industry, demanding compliance with GMP good manufacturing
practices.
2. Quality Assurance in IT. IT processes must ensure proper handling and storage of information.
Nowadays, guaranteeing traceability and availability of information is an obligation in any process,
there must always be a backup that allows the information to be consulted whenever desired and,
in addition, it must have access levels to guarantee that its disclosure is protected.

Discuss the importance of implementing quality control processes and requirements.


Provide at least two examples of quality control processes and requirements to support
your answer.

Implementing a control process in a quality system will allow there to be no deviations in the
process, deviations that will bring setbacks, risks and/or non-conformities by a regulatory entity.
1. In the food industry, specifically in non-alcoholic beverages, the main material is water. It is
necessary for these industries to establish quality control through chemical and physical
analysis to ensure that it is optimal for human consumption.
2. Finding defects in a production process requires inspection personnel, who are trained to
issue a concept that the production process is compliant or defective in order to make
adjustments and guarantee the quality parameters established by the company.

Describe the key quality criteria as referenced in the quality standards in the
ISO:9001:2008 Standards. In addition, explain why an organisation may choose to adopt
these Standards.

The standard offers a quality management system so that the organization can improve its
performance and provide sustainable development.
The adoption of the standard will allow obtaining some potential benefits such as:
1. Ability to provide products and services that meet customer and applicable legal requirements.
