1- Introduction of the teacher (300):

I am an English language teacher, teaching grade 6-8 (checkpoints). My
academic qualifications are: Masters in Business Studies (MBS) and
Masters in English Language teaching (MA ELT). I have taught English at
different schools and gained experience of teaching students belonging to
diverse backgrounds. I have been honored to teach English to foreign
students during my stay in Beijing at Geely University, Changping China
while my husband was doing his PhD in Condensed Matter Physics. I have
taught English to Grade 6-8 and Grade 1-4 at Springfield Public School
Harley Street Rawalpindi (2015-2019), I shifted in NUST Islamabad and
starting working at NUST Creative Learning School (2019-2022) and
College as an English teacher for Grade 5-7 later was promoted as English
Language Coordinator after a year and Senior School Section head for
academic session 2021-2022. I wanted to pursue my career in teaching
therefore I switched from administrative position to teaching again.

I believe a teacher should be called a facilitator because its her/ his job to
facilitate rather dictate the learners and help create a productive learning
environment. Being a teacher I love to teach children and interact with
them. For me a class is a perfect place for learning and gaining new
experiences. My philosophy of teaching is that language learning is a
natural process that extends throughout the day, not restricting to the
classroom. I believe that learning can only occur when all students feel
accepted and valued. I believe that learning that learning can only occur
when students are able to make mistakes in an atmosphere that is free from
judgement. To me teaching is more like building a rapport with the student
so that the students may feel comfortable in the learning environment.
Students should like a teacher and should feel comfortable around the
teacher in way that they do not hesitate to share even their personal
problems.
I am passionate about teaching and teaching English is my passion. I love to
take challenges and takle new challenges. My passion for teaching has
brought me back into the teaching filed because being a teacher and away
from the classroom for one academic session made me switch immediately
in teaching after the academic session. I believe that more challenges a
student faces in their education, the more a teacher should be working to
ensure the student’s educational needs are met. Every question of a student
should be answered so that they may feel satisfied. I believe that my job as a
teacher is to identify and figure out how each student learns best and tailor
to their individual strengths and needs.

2- Introduction of the learners:

Every classroom contains differentiated learners having different needs and
each one should be catered in a different way. Students in each classroom
are likely to come from a range of diverse background. Each learner has
different aspirations, levels of motivation, attitudes towards teaching and
learning. Each learner is likely to show different response to teaching and
learning. There are four types of learners: Visual, Auditory, Read/Write ad
Kinesthetic. Each classroom is a mixture of these types of learners. These
different type of learners needs different type of teaching styles such as:
visual, kinesthetic, aural, social, solitary, verbal, logical.
