Reflecting on the lessons covered by chapter 1 in my Civil Engineering

Orientation subject, I can proudly say that I have met the desired learning outcomes.
I had the ability to understand school policies, familiarize with Civil Engineering
program outcomes and know career opportunities. I find it very significant to my
field of specialization since it will guide me in pursuing my chosen career in the near
future.
Understanding the school policies will hone me into a good member of the
institution. Hence, being a good member of the institution will serve as a training
ground for me to practice my values and responsibilities in becoming a future
professional. Familiarizing with Civil Engineering program outcomes also builds
my skills and competencies that will nurture me into being effective and efficient
Civil Engineer. Knowing the career opportunities enables me to practice at least one
of the six specializations in the field of Civil Engineering. It also gave me the
opportunity to come up with a concrete decision to pursue Structural Engineering as
my specialization wherein I’m lucky at the same time because the university where I
currently belong offers what I’ve chosen.
These lessons I learned will help me to build my aptitude in my Civil
Engineering profession. Civil Engineering Orientation is more than just a required
course for me. It will develop me into a professional, hardworking and resilient
Civil Engineer. It will provide me life-long lessons that will endow knowledge
needed for Civil Engineering. Therefore, I am looking forward in this subject for it
will serve as a stimuli for me to hone my knowledge, an opportunity to develop my
skills and competencies, and to know my potentials and strengths, in becoming a
Civil Engineer who takes a great pride not only in the quality of work I produce, but
also the consistently high standards I aim to achieve that will be highly beneficial to
our country.
