INTRODUCTION
The K–12 curriculum in the Philippines has introduced significant changes to the education system,
including the implementation of the Senior High School Program. This program enables high school
students to specialize in specific academic or vocational courses, equipping them with the necessary
skills and knowledge for their future careers.
The K–12 curriculum aims to prepare Filipino students for the challenges of the workforce. By
extending the education system to include two additional years before college, known as the Senior
High School Program, students have more time to develop essential experiences and acquire skills
that meet the demands of the modern job market.
An important component of the Senior High School Program is the Work Immersion Program.
Through work immersion, students have the opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience
in professional settings related to their chosen fields. This program allows students to apply their
knowledge in real-world scenarios, develop valuable workplace skills, and adapt to professional
environments.
To fulfill the requirements for the course, John Paul D. Sapra, a senior high school student at
Immaculada Concepcion College, has compiled this practicum portfolio. This portfolio serves as a
structured record of the author's experiences and accomplishments throughout and following their
training with the respective organization.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

I am John Paul D. Sapra, a senior high school student at Immaculada Concepcion College, with
a strong aspiration to pursue a career as a seaman. From a young age, the maritime industry
has captivated my interest and fueled my desire to embark on a seafaring journey.
Throughout my academic journey, I have focused on building a foundation in subjects related to
