Chapter I

I. INTRODUCTION

“Everything is always created twice, first in the mind and then in reality.”
The knowledge of a student gained from the teachers are not enough when
only learned by pure imagination. That is why an internship or the (Work
Immersion Training Program) is created. This serves as a way that gives students a
chance to apply the lessons learned from the school. It also aids the students to
achieve relevant knowledge and skills through the actualexperience in working in
the field of their profession. Thus, the workplace and the field serve as a new venue
of learning for the student.

Work Immersion Training Program is valuable where realism is essential.

Students are required to complete such hours of training. It is a particularly good
way of developing technical skills and expertise. During work immersion training, a
supervisor guides the trainee through tasks and processes for them to know how to
perform the obligation and to what standard. Typically, the supervisor observes the
trainees while they perform their duties. After observation, the observer provides
the trainees with feedback on their performance.

For a company or an organization who willingly accept a student trainee, work

immersion program provides them additional manpower without expecting salary
to pay back. Student trainees can bring f resh ideas, and if even given such opportunity to
speak their minds freely, they maybe able to contribute significantly in brainstorming
sessions that will possibly help for the productivity of the company.

As for the Work Immersion Program of Humanities and Social

Sciences, the students would be trained technically in their chosen field of interest.
This provides opportunities to go through the actual methodologies of a specific job
using real tools, equipments and documents. In effect, this will certainly lead them
for their professional growth and development.
Generally, while training the interns, supervisors are in fact also teaching
the process of guiding the trainees stretches their patience, develops engineering
skills and makes them moresensitive to the needs and mind set of the younger
generation. The course of supervision alsoteaches them how to share what they
know and be receptive to questions. Hence, theinternship also becomes an avenue in
training for future employees and managers.

II. COMPANY PROFILE

A. COMPANY HISTORY
The Asian Institute of Technology, Sciences and the Arts Inc. started with
vision of four friends. A vision that detailed the need for compassion, service, and
accountability. Everyone sees the need for “better, quality education”, for the “less
fortunate”, but few ever acts on that need. Some due to finding, while others, due to
time and effort. We, at AITSA strive to make the difference. With funding acquired
from loans, the difference starts with AITSA.

What will set AITSA apart from the other educational institutionsis our
commitment to provide the services needed in one convenient facility that is not
limited to a specific need and/or educational focus. We at AITSA will have
Assessments (National Certificates I, II & III), Technical/Vocational skill sets, Senior
High School, and upper curricula for 2-year and possibly 4-year accredited degree
programs.

So in August 2016, these same four friends set out to find an area that can
benefit the most from their ideas. After numerous searches to include but not
limited to Ilocos, Vigan, Cavite, Olongapo and Sta. Rosa, Laguna; they found a
suitable place to begin in Cabuyao, Laguna.

From August to the present, AITSA Cabuyao started from an idea, a project, a
dream, to now REALITY. Permits, certifications, inspections, and curriculum were
accomplished in a four month period where other institutions averaged 12 to 24
months.
