arrived in our workplace very early around 7:00 am and always departed around 11:10 A.

M. During afternoon our arrival was 1:30 P M. and departed at 4:30 PM. Our workplace

is very comfortable because of the ambiance inside the Office as well as the Staff who are

very cheerful and participative though there are few who are really hardheaded, however,

it was bearable. Even the head is very considerate, she would always ask us if it's okay if

she would ask for help from us. The workplace is an ecofriendly to head and Staff.

Throughout our work immersion. I learned a lot. including how to handle the deferent

sector, particularly those who are difficult to manage. While I was watching. I understood

that working on MDRRMO is not easy job.

May 3, 2023/Tuesday

Today Is the first day of our work immersion in which I assigned to go in

MDRRMO, municipal risk reduction and management office. We had an orientation

session with the staff together with our work immersion adviser to learn more about the

policies and procedures as well as their expectations for us as a work immersion student.

During the orientation, I learned about the rules and regulations of MDRRMO,

policy and safety guidelines. The staff gave us a mini tour in the office and introduced

ourselves.

Over all it was a great day for me and I'm looking forward to learn more

throughout my work immersion journey.

May 3, 2023/ Wednesday

In this day we learn a basic communication through radio, we try to contact our

immersionist from apart and send some details if they can get it. And we try some

scenario's that there are accident and we communicate from radio to a base radio but

that's not easy as we thought because we didn't used to it before and it's hard to hear what

they say because of unstable connection.

May 4, 2023/ Thursday

Third day of our work immersion and that day they teach us some basic carrying a

patient in different types of carrying. That day was a lesson to us because of that type of

carrying called 4 men’s carry we going to work us one because if we don't work as one

maybe there's something going to happen to the patient so that we try to work as one and

we did it.
May 5, 2023/ Friday

Day 4 this was the hardest part of

our immersion experience we woke up

early in the morning to have some exercise

we do jogging, Zumba and basic exercise.

But that's not easy to me since I'm not

used to exercise and I haven't got good

sleep that night and that's the lesson I got

if you going to exercise get some enough sleep first.

And in the afternoon, they teach us how to survive in water it’s called (WASAR)

Water Survival and Rescue

May 8, 2023/ Monday

This day we learn a lot of basic bandaging we performed one by one of any type

of bandaging and we have some struggling because when we performed, we are given a

time if we don't finish it in given time, we going to do it again until we finished in given

time. That time I was struggling to fold the clothes and I wasted a lot of time and I do it

many times until I got it. I got a lesson that day being a rescuer you have to work fast

don't waste time and just focus on what you do.

May 9, 2023 Tuesday

In this day in we have to do what we learn in Day3 and Day5 we have to get a

patient and making what we learn in bandaging and do what we learn in carrying a

patient. We have to work fast and as one because there's a lot to do you going to bandage

an fracture by following the steps at a given time but the time is long enough and we do

our best to finish it faster and we did it.

May 10, 2023/ Wednesday

That day they teach us some more carrying a patient they teach us 1 man’s carry,

2 man's carry, and 3 man's carry that 1 man’s carry is so challenging to me because I can't

lift an heavyweights and my immersion mate is much bigger than me but even if the

patient is bigger than you can lift they by doing a correct way to lift them.
May 11,2023/ Thursday

This is the most valuable day of our work immersion this day we going to show

what we learn in that past 6 days in front of many people we try being a rescuer we get a

patient and rescue it but that's not easy since there's a lot of people watching us it's so

embarrassing moment there are some people worrying about the patient even it was an

acting.

There's a person saying "why are you doing that bandaging if you can take the

patient run to hospital" and I'm feel sad for them because they don't know what we are

doing why we doing it because of lack of training some of our people are don't know

what is the purpose of what we do they all just know is take the patient straight to

hospital without any kind of fist aid.

But one of the best moments of that day when our work immersion subject

teacher saw us doing what we learn and she just got a picture of us and post it online and

make some views.

May 12, 2023/ Friday

This is my favorite day since I love to eat that's why I love this they that day we

contribute some money to buy some food and cook it and we do boodle fight. And the

afternoon they give us a certificate of completion for completing a basic training of

MDRRMO and I'm so happy because it's my first time receiving a certificate in my life.

And that's end my story of our work immersion days thank you for reading.
OBSERVATION AND INSIGHTS

Based on my understanding, MDRRMO stands for Municipal Disaster Risk

Reduction and Management Office. A work immersion in MDRRMO would involve

observing the day-to-day activities of the office and its staff in mitigating and responding

to disasters that may occur in the municipality.

One potential observational insight from a work immersion in MDRRMO could

be the importance of effective communication and coordination among different agencies

and stakeholders during disaster response. This may involve collaborating with local

government units, non-governmental organizations, and community members to ensure

timely and appropriate response to disasters.

Another potential insight could be the importance of preparedness and proactive

measures in disaster risk reduction. This may involve conducting regular training and

simulations for emergency responders and community members, as well as implementing

early warning systems and hazard mapping to identify areas of high risk.

Overall, a work immersion in MDRRMO can provide valuable insights into the

complex and challenging work of disaster risk reduction and management, and highlight

the importance of collaboration, preparedness, and effective communication in ensuring

the safety and well-being of communities during times of crisis.

Over all Reflection and Self-Appraisal

During my work immersion experiences, such as those provided by the

MDRRMO, can be valuable opportunities for us as a student to gain practical knowledge

and skills in their chosen field of interest. through these experiences, we as a students can

learn about the day-to-day operations of a particular organization or agency, as well as

the challenges and rewards of working in that field.

In the case of the MDRRMO, the work immersion experience likely provided

students with a unique perspective on disaster risk reduction and management, including

the various strategies and technologies employed to mitigate the impact of natural

disasters. may have also gained insights into the roles and responsibilities of mdrrmo

personnel, such as first responders, emergency planners, and disaster risk assessors.

In addition to the practical knowledge gained, work immersion experiences like

this can also help to us a student’s develop important soft skills, such as effective

communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. these skills are essential for success in

any professional setting, and can be especially valuable for those pursuing careers in

areas such as disaster risk reduction and management.

Overall, the MDRRMO work immersion experience likely provided for us as a

student with a valuable opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge and skills in the field of

disaster risk reduction and management. by participating in work immersion experiences

like this, and we can learn better understand our chosen field and develop the skills

necessary to succeed in their future careers.
