What is the present perfect?
IT IS A TENSE THAT IS USED TO TALK ABOUT AN ACTION THAT
OCCURRED IN THE PAST AND THAT IS DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE
PRESENT, SUCH AS ACTIONS THAT ARE STILL ONGOING OR THAT
INDICATE A CHANGE IN TIME.
Uses
THE ACTION STARTED IN THE PAST AND CONTINUES IN THE PRESENT.
EX. I HAVE LIVED IN THIS HOUSE SINCE I WAS BORN.
THE TIME OF CARRYING OUT THE ACTION HAS NOT ENDED.
EX.THEY HAVE GONE TO GYM THREE DAYS A WEEK.
THE ACTION IS CONSTANTLY REPEATED IN AN INDETERMINATE TIME
BETWEEN THE PAST AND THE PRESENT.
EX.SHE HAS VISITED THAT RESTAURANT SEVERAL TIMES.
THE ACTION RECENTLY CONCLUDED. FOR THIS USE OF USE JUST.
EX. HE JUST GOT OUT OF THE HOSPITAL.
