up with ways to curb the problem.

Subject : Serious theft problem in Taman Sentosa and ways to curb the
problem.

Introduction:

For the past five months, Taman Sentosa residences have faced a serious theft
problem. More than ten cases have been reported, hence as the secretary, I am afraid that
we will face a much more severe issue if the problem is not settled immediately. This report
will focus on ways to stop the problem permanently.

Request for a Police Booth:

Firstly, the association should request the government to install a permanent police
booth in the residency. This is because a police booth will definitely prevent any potential
thief from entering our residency. In addition, to help to speed up construction of the booth,
I’m proposing for the residency to pay for the construction cost.

Neighborhood Watch:

Furthermore, I also would like to propose that the residency initiates a neighborhood
watch. This is because, by having a neighborhood watch, we can educate the residents on
achieving safe and secure neighborhoods. Therefore, a timetable should be presented to
help each resident to be well prepared for their turn.

Conversion into a Gated Community:

On top of that, we may consider our residency to be converted into a gated

community. This is because a gated community has better control over the people entering
the residency. However, this should be a long-term plan as the consensus of all residents and
approval from the authorities must be obtained first.

Conclusion:

To summaries, if we could carry out the suggestion given, we can reduce the theft
cases and possibly eliminate the problem in the long run. Therefore, all residents should play
their role to curb the problem for us to have a safer home.
