As a holistic human care theory in nursing, the
Culture Care Theory of Diversity and University is
valued worldwide. Practicing nurses now have
holistic, culturally based research findings for use
in caring for clients of diverse and similar cultures
or subcultures. The theory will continue to guide
the building of nursing knowledge and the
discovery of new applications of practice using the
three culture care modes of decisions and actions
in an increasingly multicultural and global society.
The significant information that I
learned on the Leininger theory of
Culture Care Diversity and University
that Caring is the action in terms of
which care provided to the patients.
Care is the understanding of needs with
the help of which a human condition
can be improved and saved.
The purpose of Leininger’s Theory it
discovers and explains the culturally based
care factors that influence health, well-
being, illness, and death of each individual
or community. And to provide culturally
congruent, safe, and meaningful care to
clients of diverse or similar cultures
