Empanadillas are the most delectable ground beef, seasoned with traditional Puerto Rican spices, tomato, sofrito, and olives, is filled
within buttery, flaky pie crust in empanadillas. The borders of these savory hand pies are then delicately cooked till they turn golden
brown.
Puerto Rico Culture

The culture of Puerto Rico is a vibrant fusion of old and new, blending native,
Spanish, and African customs. The expressions of that culture may be seen all
across the Island, in everything from colourful murals to art museums, from bomba
dance classes to energetic street festivals.
Puerto Rico History

In the West Indies, there is a sizable Caribbean island called Puerto Rico that is about
3,500 square miles in size. The Greater Antilles chain, which also consists of Cuba,
Jamaica, and Hispaniola, extends to its easternmost island (divided into Haiti and the
Dominican Republic). After centuries of Spanish control, Puerto Rico became a US
territory in 1898, and since the middle of the 20th century, it has been mostly
self-governing. With a population of almost 3.4 million, it boasts a dynamic culture
influenced by a blend of Spanish, American, and Afro-Caribbean cultures.

Early Life
