PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

PRO GROUT S40 ECO is an environmentally friendly premixed cement base non-shrink grout
that is non-corrosive, non-oxidizing and is free of chlorides and nitrates. PRO GROUT S40 ECO is
formulated for general purpose grouting needs and is commonly used to repair structural
building members.

USES

PRO GROUT S40 ECO is a general purpose grout for patching of masonry/substrate and is also
recommended for structural concrete repairs like under plates, beams and columns and post
tensioned girders.

consistency is obtained. Pot Life 60 mins (Approx.)

Additional aggregates use for bulking the

thickness must be added before PRO GROUT
S40 ECO. The additional rate would be 10-15 kg
to 25kg of PRO GROUT S40 ECO.
Application
Hand placing or “dry packing” of PRO GROUT
S40 ECO must be done with sufficient water to
produce a plastic consistency and to assure
hydration and strength development of the
grout.
Minimum thickness for PRO GROUT S40 ECO is
10mm and the maximum thickness is 100mm.
Recommended application thickness is 20mm
to 50mm in one pour. Grout pour should done
in stages if require thickness exceed 100mm or
have 5-10mm washed coarse aggregates added
to it.
SHELF LIFE
Approximately 12 months in factory sealed
packaging and should be stored indoor and off
the ground in dry area.
*High humidity will reduce the shelf life of bagged
cementitious product.
CAUTION
This product contains Portland Cement and
Silica Sand. Mix in a well-ventilated area and
avoid breathing powder or dust. Use PPE as
required. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and
clothing. Wash hands thoroughly after
handling.

2. INFORMATION OF INGREDIENTS
This preparation is comprising of cement, sand and additives. The precise formulation is confidential information. The Product
formulation does not use asbestos or other known toxic substances, and does not require the use of toxic solvents in commonly
known construction application. This preparation contains no ingredients classifiable by the requirements of 67/548/EEC as
amended by 79/831/EEC. For more information, refer product data sheet.

3. HAZARDS INDENTIFICATION
The material content of this preparation is irrespirable size and is not likely to present an inhalation hazard. However, exposure to
dust from this preparation should be regarded as potentially harmful. This preparation is mildly alkaline when wet. Avoid inhalation
and contact with eye and skin. Presents no particular risk to the environment, provided the disposal requirements and national or
local regulations are complied with.

4. FIRST AID MEASURES

Ingestion: Remove to fresh air. Do not induce vomiting. Rinse mouth with water. Give half pint (300ml) water to drink until remain
away until coughing and other symptoms subside.
Inhalation: Will cause irritation of mucous membranes, nose, eyes, throat coughing and difficulty of breathing. Exposure to high
vapour concentration may cause headache, dizziness, nausea and narcosis. In the event of respiratory difficulties, apply standard
first aid techniques as appropriate to the condition of the patient and get immediate medical attention.
Skin: Prolonged contract causes common solvent defatting effect. Wash with mild soap and water.
Eyes: Vapours slightly uncomfortable, splashes irritating. Will cause painful burning or stinging of eyes and lids. Watering eyes and
inflammation of Conjunctiva. Wash out immediately with plenty of water or normal saline solution and obtain medical advice at
once.

5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

Inorganic powder.
Will not burn or support combustion. Compatibles with all standard firefighting techniques. No special procedures required.

6. ACCIDENT RELEASE MEASURES

Contain spillage. Take precautions against excessive dust exposure (use approved respiratory protection), shovel into bags or other
suitable containers. Small spillage may be washed to drain with plenty of water.
Spillage which becomes damp will set and harden. Clean up spillage promptly.
Additional advice : Avoid dust formation during clean up.

7. EXPOSURE CONTROLS
Engineering Control: General or local ventilation as necessary to prevent any dust exposure greater than the above limits.
Environmental Precautions: Do not flush into surface water or sewers.
Methods for cleaning up: Scoop up contaminated material and place in a disposal container.
Personal Precautions: Although not classed as dangerous, these preparations should be handled in accordance with good
industrial hygiene and safety practices. Following “good practice” precautions are recommended:
- Wear protective clothing, protective gloves, safety goggles and face shield.
- No eating, drinking or smoking when using this product.
- Wash off splashes as soon as possible
- Avoid inhalation of dust or exceeding of occupational limit value.
Wear suitable respiratory protective equipment if working in confined spaces with adequate ventilation. Advice on respiratory
protective equipment is given in British standards BS 2091 and BS 4274 and the HSE publication HS(G)53.

Skin and body protection: None.

Hygiene measures: Wash off splashes with warm water and soap.
Protective measures: Prophylactic use of protective ointment (barrier cream) is recommended.

Mix Proportion

As specified by the manufacturer, the mix proportion used by weight was as follows:

Protec Pro Grout S40 ECO (powder) 1 part

Water 0.165 parts

Mixing Procedure

As specified by the manufacturer, the mixing procedure was as follows:

1. The correct proportion of the above components were weighed.

2. The water was poured in the mixing bowl and the Protec Pro Grout S40 ECO (powder) was added slowly
and mixed simultaneously within 30 seconds at slow speed.

3. The compound was mixed for approximately 2 minutes at slow speed until a homogeneous consistency
was achieved.

4. Separate mixes were made for each of the above determinations.

Test Results

A summary of the tested results are given in Table 1 and the results for flow consistency, compressive
strength, setting time, slant shear bond strength and volume change are given in Tables 2 to 6 respectively.
