Subject: OUTSTANDING RECEIVABLES OF BARA DAM PROJECT

Ref: Your Office Letter No. GM (C&M)/DE/A-78/1277-80 dated 15-09-2023

Apropos the letter at reference, it is informed that liabilities amounting to

Rs. 35.1 million are pending against Bara Dam Multipurpose Project in this office. At
present, M/s NESPAK JV has been engaged by Irrigation Department, Govt. of Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa for Review and Updation of Feasibility Study, Detailed Engineering
Design, Preparation of Tender Documents & PC-I of Bara Dam Multipurpose Project.

This office has already conveyed its stance regarding the pending liabilities and source
of financing of Bara Dam Multipurpose Project to General Manager (C&M) Water vide
letter dated 21.09.2022 (copy attached). Accordingly, the matter has been taken up with
Secretary, Ministry of Water Resources through office of Member (Water) WAPDA vide
letter dated 31.03.2023 (copy attached).

It is pertinent to mention that future course of action may be taken regarding payments
of pending liabilities of M/s NESPAK regarding of Bara Dam Multipurpose Project after
any decision is made on the matter by MoWR, please.
