aggressive behavior in which someone intentionally and repeatedly causes another person injury or

VERBAL BULLYING
A: Bullying can be identified into two types: verbal and physical bullying.
B: Hmmm, I’m confused, how do we identify these?
A: Let’s start with verbal bullying. Verbal bullying involves insults, teasing, name calling and other
types of verbal abuse. It usually starts harmlessly such as teasing or slight insult but it can lead to
serious harms to victim.

B: OH YAAA, and it’s very harmful because the victims will begin to believe the insults and even

PHYSICAL BULLYING
C: FYI, bullies may also exert physical aggression to impose more fear towards the victims.

D: You are talking about Physical Bullying, right? It can be hitting, kicking, pushing, tripping, making
rude hand gestures and taking or breaking someone’s things.
*Insert example /scene physical bullying*

C: Physical bullying can cause even severe damages you can ever imagine. One of it is the decrease in
academic performance as the victims choose to miss the school out of fear participating in class.

D: Not just that, it also could lead to emotional distress such as feelings of shame, isolation, and
despair. It can even cause death!

CYBER BULLYING
Scrolling phone*
A: OMG, I just watched a viral TikTok video. A group of girls are commenting and criticizing
someone’s English proficiency in public. They even joked and laughed about it. Hmm, it seems
disrespectful.
B: Let me see. Ouh my Gucci, this is terrible. You know what, this is cyberbullying, another type of
bullying that is prevalent with the use of technologies.
A: I have heard about it before. Cyberbullying is verbally threatening or harassing behavior conducted
through such electronic technology as cell phones, email, social media, or text messaging.
B: To add, research by Cyberbullying Research Centre Malaysia in 2022 has concluded that an
alarming number of adolescents in Peninsular Malaysia found to be involved in cyberbullying.

A: This is bad. Hmmm. By the way, give me a minute. I must comment on this video and tell them
how bad looking they are to even comment on someone else!

B: Are you intend to “verbally threaten or harass them”?

A: Erkkk. No! Oh no, I should not have think about it.

B: Yes. Don’t even go there, my friend.

SOLUTIONS

D: Firstly, dear victims, if you are in this situation, please please and please report it to your teachers
immediately. Do not be afraid if you get threaten by them. Teachers and school administrators will
take prompt action and investigate properly. If you are shy, you can write them a letter. You can also
go to moe.gov.my/aduanbuli for other ways to report bullying at school.

C: Dear teachers and authority figures, any bullying reports should be attended without prejudice. We
should trust the victims. They would feel safer and believe that there are chances for them to get out
from this problem.

C: Other than that, all schools should go to Aduan Buli Portal to learn more about bullying and enable
victims to find a way out from being a victim to being a victor.

victims. I personally have learned that we should support victims and protect them too.
