초 <秒> - second
분 <分> - minute
시 - hour
시간 - time
한 시간 - an hour (counting)

[07/08/09] : Is this [7th August 2009] or[8th July 2009] or [9th August 2007]?
In Korea they say the year first, then month, then day, so [9th August 2007] is the format. [YY/MM/DD]
If you see this date → [10/11/07] when you check the expiration date, don't worry. [10/11/07] means
[7th Nov.2010]
But if the stuff is an imported goods, [10/11/07] could be [10th Nov.2007]or [11th Oct.2007]. So watch
out!
Also, when you write or say the date, you should write or say in order of year, month, date. [2009 년

갑자 <甲子> - 60 years
세기 - century
한 세기 - a century (counting)
두 세기 - two centuries
수백년 - hundreds
Year
해 is a native Korean word, while 년 is derived from 한자.
년 <年>(Chinese)/해(Korean) - year
새해 - new year
그해 - that year
다년 - multiple years
Months
달 should be used with Native Korean numbers while 월 should be used with Sino Korean numbers.
매달 - every month
Counting months
You can use 개월 <個月> along with Sino Korean numbers to count months.
삼개월 - 3 months
육개월 - 6 months
Calender
Months are just simply Sino Korean numbers and 월 together. Since January is the first month, it is 1 월
(일월). However 6 월 and 10 월 are irregular and not 육월 and 십월, instead they are 유월 and 시월
respectively.

Time
To tell time in Korean, you use Native Korean numbers (한, 두,세, 네, 다섯...) for the hour(시) and Sino
Korean numbers (일, 이, 삼,사, 오...) for the minutes. Note: 한아 goes to 한, 둘 goes to 두, 셋 goes to 세, 넷
goes to 네 for counting items). You can also use 반 for half an hour (i.e. 두 시 반 means 2:30).
