PROPOSED SPORTS COMPLEX ARENA

Abstract:

Cities and people can be brought together via sport in distinctive ways. Public
athletic activities can increase and develop a city's overall civic pride and sense
of community. These events can range from pick-up games in parks and
neighborhoods to professional spectacles. Thus, this study intends to identify a
route for sports arena space improvement by conducting research on the
working characteristics and satisfaction of athlete and Guest . As a result, we
used this to make space that can be used as training facilities as well as to offer
up simple public spaces like a gym and a field to the public. This Arena serves as
a node within a a multipurpose "world of sport" that is accessible to the public
and encourages healthy civic engagement and activities.

Introduction

In order to modernize how men, women, and young people view human performance,
Sports Academy has developed a multi-platform environment that engages, teaches, and gives
people the chance to reach their full potential. We offer human performance training that is
efficient, secure, and open, helping athletes reach their full potential. In order to serve youth,
amateur, and elite athletes with a full-circle strategy that combines body, performance, and
cognitive training, the Academy recruits a variety of experts.

Sports leaders should scout and train their athletes early so they can develop and
flourish in international competitions such as the Southeast Asian Games, according to
Philippine Sports Commission.

Philippines residents are extremely passionate about sports, whether they are
participating in them or are only spectators.
Background of the Study

Arena building designs, architectural exhibitions and architecture competitions across the
world.

The use of this system made it easier to carry out a structured analysis, with a focus on the
building's structure, construction system, vibration damping system, ultra-strong concrete and
steel, low-emission glass, double or triple skin facades, and other crucial components for the
building's energy efficiency.

An indoor sports arena with seated grandstands on all four sides was used for the
measurement setup. The arena and grandstands take up around 65 by 72 meters of space
inside a bigger structure with dimensions of 83 by 108 meters and a maximum ceiling height of
about 21 meters above the ground.

Bohol is one of the most popular and top tourist destinations in the Philippines. This island
province in the Central Visayas region attracts visitors from all over the world because of its
stunning and diverse attractions, with the Chocolate Hills as one of the top Visayas tourist
spots.

Statement of the Problem

Since sports facilities have been so blatantly neglected and poorly managed, we see them in
practically every city in the Philippines. Lack of resources and full ignorance of standards are the
most frequent problems. In recent years, the Philippines has consistently been excluded from
the region's major sporting events, mostly due to a lack of sports facilities that adhere to strict
international requirements. The nation was the indisputable epicenter of sports in the area
some decades ago. not now. In terms of sporting facilities, smaller ASEAN countries like
Singapore and Vietnam have surpassed us.

The success of national athletes in international events has been impacted by a lack of
standardized sports facilities. To ensure that they can train in a suitable setting, we must send
our athletes to train abroad. However, doing so comes at a high expense, and there isn't even a
large guarantee that it would help them perform better or achieve their objectives during
actual play.

The problems/issues that needs to be solved are as follows

1. Design, organization and arrangement of spaces within the sports
complex contribute to the development of sports excellence and
encourage sports participation of Filipinos.
2. Through an inventive building design that will honor the sporting prowess of
the country and transform the nation's architectural legacy, architecture will
become an emblem of sport.

Goal and Objective

It is widely asserted that multi-functional approach result in significant designing for several
functions is a viable strategy for use a variety of functions to implement a solution to these
problems a single building, hence lowering the number of separate elements.

"The purpose of this research is to determine how building design might help Multi-functional
design aims at implementing different functions within a single structure and offers high
potentials such as weight and cost reduction as well as a reduced installation space.

This performance was assessed using a combination of social and functional criteria, including
user views of comfort and satisfaction with their athletic environment, environmental
monitoring, direct observation of various architectural aspects, and user assessments of
comfort and contentment. With the following specific goals in consideration the processes
were split into two sections:

Part 1: Case Studies - on the Multi-Functional Approach and User Perceptions in Sports
Complex Arena (Hamdan Bin Mohammed Sports Complex) and (Philippine Institute of Sports
ComplexThe Philippine Institute of Sports Complex)

Review of Related Literature

A sports complex must blend seamlessly with the following aspects of the city: specific
topography a reliable vehicle ,Supply sources, proximity to an industrial area weather
conditions. The stadium is typically partially below ground level, with excavated earth piled up
all around it. The inner sports field's dimensions can be roughly compared to a football field's
dimensions. There should be a jogging track surrounding the field in athletic stadiums.

To create a successful facilities management strategy, you must first identify your goals,
objectives, and key stakeholders. Take into account the requirements of athletes, spectators,
and other facility users. The successful running of sporting facilities depends on effective facility
management. You can make sure that your facility runs smoothly and offers a pleasurable
experience for all users by creating a thorough plan, giving priority to preventive maintenance,
implementing effective scheduling procedures, ensuring that health and safety regulations are
followed, adopting energy-efficient measures to reduce costs and environmental impact, and
engaging stakeholders through open communication channels. With these measures in place,
managing your sports facility will go much more smoothly.

Utilities and Environmental Systems

Utilities

Science plays a role in architecture majors. Please keep in mind that if one or more utility
systems are not supported, or to put it another way, if the building's utility system is in bad
condition, the building will not be finished or will not work properly during the design phase of
a structure, particularly a high-rise building. Being an integrated system that supports the
operational process through its numerous utility functions, the building must therefore be
planned from the beginning to guarantee that it operates as intended.

 Water Supply System Utility -

Arena water treatment systems are a step in the right direction for athletic venues that
must accommodate demand while exercising environmental responsibility. The
following are a few of the main advantages that stadium water reuse systems can
provide:

Reduction in consumption: By using more of each gallon of water, water reuse systems
help sports facilities use less of it. Every drop goes a yard further because many of the
procedures used to prepare grass fields and ice surfaces for sporting events can use
recycled water.
Lower costs: When athletic facilities can get more done with less money, they do so.
Sustainability is the most financially advantageous choice for any owner thanks to
water management systems for sports complexes.
On-site water purification systems provide sporting facilities with access to the volumes
required for daily operations on a consistent basis

 Disposal and Treatment of Liquid and Solid Waste by Utility Systems –

Similar waste would be produced by the distribution of clean water systems to fulfill the
water requirements of high-rise buildings. This waste would need to be controlled for
distribution and processing to prevent affecting the comfort of building occupants and
the surrounding environment. It goes without saying that careful planning is necessary
for the system handling residual waste disposal in high buildings in order to prevent
serious issues like the customary obstruction or leak in the waste pipe and pollution of
the surrounding area during the disposal distribution process. Planning for a sewage
system in a high-rise building starts with the development of a waste management
system to deal with trash produced by closed toilets, floor drains, hand washing sinks,
and kitchen waste. This has been completed.

 System Utility Programs Electrical, lighting, and mechanical

Lighting systems must be planned for sports complexes and other types of structures in
accordance with the placement of lighting dots, which will be decided, as well as with
the electrical and mechanical systems of a building. Lighting systems can also be used
as a location for natural sunlight exposure, especially in multi-story buildings that
require several lights. Lighting systems depend on more than just lighting components.
Of course, designing natural light environments with openings can aid in lowering the
operational expenses associated with electricity.

From the various utility systems that have been discussed, it can be inferred that a high
building, with all the complexity of human activities within it, necessitates the integration of all
utility systems in order for the office building's function to be carried out as intended and to
raise the level of comfort, security, and safety of its occupants and neighbors.

Environmental Systems

Utilizing adaptable and regenerative materials and processes, sustainable design is also energy-
efficient and eco-friendly (Newman, 2001). Environmental concerns and the use of biophilic
design have surpassed the use of non-renewable energy sources. In high-rise office buildings,
sustainability primarily aims for ecological balance, making sure that environmental systems
work in harmony with the architecture.
