User Guide - Drills

Setup of Unisea Drills module

The setup must be done before use of Unisea Drills module.

(User guide for Unisea Drills below the setup guide)

Template

Active templates show available


drills.

Some drills only apply to certain


vessels or regions.

Drills can be added to your location


by selecting location and follow
steps under.
Add drills to location

If drill templates are not added to


your location, you must add
applicable drills.

Click “Edit” then +Schedule drill.

Some vessels require drills that


does not have a regular interval,
such drills can be added as Ad-hoc
drill.

Select drill you want to add from


dropdown menu.
See the matrix below.

Start date should be the next due


date.

Selecting Reset schedule every drill


will set the next due date according
to when a drill is completed.
If unchecked the next drill date will
be fixed.

User guide: Unisea – Drills

Overview

This is the main overview of


drills.

From this view you can see drill


status and plan new drills.

Dropdown menu can be used to


view certain drill categories.

Plan drill(s)

To plan a drill, select one or more


drills by clicking in the schedule or
overdue field.
Click the “+Scheduled drill” for
planned drills.

Click “Continue”

Plan ad-hoc drill

If you want to add an additional or


unplanned drill, use the “+Ad-hoc
drill”.
(do not select any drills)

Click “Create ad-hoc drill” and


select drill.

Plan a drill

Add start time.


Select shift (if relevant).

Add a name for the drill.

Add description (Plan the drill).

Click “+Scenario” and select all


planned scenarios

Drill can now be saved and will


display as a planned drill in
overview tab.

Drafts

The planned drill(s) can be found in


Drafts tab.

You can also open a planned drill


by clicking the orange symbol in
overview page.

Participants (Pending implementation of UniSea Crew module)


Add participants to the drill.

Some drills have defined roles


where you can add
participant(s).
Click on the row to add a
person.
Select person from list.

You can add more than one


person to a role by clicking the +
button next to the role.

For participants without a


specific role, use +Participants.
Add applicable participants.

Sequence of events

Add sequence of events (time


log).

Add debrief in debriefing tab.

References

If applicable, references can be


added (permit, risk assessment,
pictures etc.)

Complete drill
When everything is filled in,
click complete drill.

History

Completed drills can be found in the


history tab or in the overview
