Objective
In this open-ended lab, we are going to implement a Cuk converter which is a combination of two
stages, first boost and then buck. It has two working topologies, one provides a non-inverted output voltage
and the other provides an inverted output voltage. We will simulate the former on PSpice and then patch it
on hardware to observe the voltages and the currents throughout the circuit for different variations in the
applied switching control signal/ duty cycle.

Results

 D = 2/50 = 0.04
 D = 20/50 = 0.4

 D = 45 /50 = 0.9

Hardware Implementation
E2 is the applied voltage and E3 is the output voltage.

 D ~ 0.1

Conclusion
We have
observed different behaviors of the chopper at different
values of duty cycle. We went from a minimum duty
cycle to maximum and observed how the converter
changes from step-down action to step-up with the
change in duty cycle. We also observed the inverted action of Cuk converter since the output voltage
received is a negative/inverted value in both the simulation and hardware implementation results.
