Guide Questions:
1. What caused the fire? How did it start?
Firewood used to heat the water is what started the fire. And because their
home is primarily composed of wood, it is possible that as the parents left to go
for food, the ashes from the stove's firewood spread and started a fire mainly
because their house is made from light materials.

2. Under which fire class could this be classified? Explain.

Class A, Since the materials that was built with for the building is mostly light
material which consist of wood and the things in the house which consist of
plastics and fabrics.

3. Is it possible for the fire incident to be prevented? Why or why not?

Yes, firstly leaving the fire unattentively can always result to an uncontrolled
fire, so if anyone is at the house always ask someone to watch the fire. And
also leaving working appliances for a long period of time unplugged can be
overloaded or overheat resulting to house fire.

4. If yes, what are the measures that could have been prevented the fire?
Avoid using firewood to cook since the ashes coming the firewood can start to
ignite light materials especially wood, left someone to watch the fire since its
dangerous to left it alone, investing a smoke detector can mainly alert anyone
that is asleep and a fire extinguisher so that anyone can stop the fire before it
spreads uncontrollably.

Part II
Describe the picture below. Please be guided by the questions that follow.
1. Where is the man heading?
Crawling away from the fire and mainly to go to safety.

2. Why does the man need to crawl while locating the exit?
Most of the smoke is on the ceiling where you can’t breathe since its mostly
C02 but by crawling where most of the oxygen is left you would still be able to
have consciousness and able to navigate to exit safely and also to avoid the
burning parts of the building.

3. If the man’s cloth is on fire, why is it necessary to Stop, Drop and Roll?
It’s the fastest way to put out the fire without the use of fire extinguisher, it
also stops the spreading to other parts of the clothes that can potentially give
you severe burns and especially the times where there’s no other people to help
you extinguish the fire.
