2. Describe distinctive musical elements of given pieces in 20th century styles;
(MU10TC Ia-h-2)
3. Explain the performance practice (setting, composition, role of composers/performers,
and audience) of 20th century music; (MU10TC Ib-g-4)
4. Relate 20th Century music to other art forms and media during the same time period;
(MU10TC Ia-g-3)
5. Perform music sample from the 20th century; (MU10TC Ib-5) and
6. Evaluate music and music performances using guided rubrics.
7. Explores other arts and media that portray 20th century elements through video films or
live performances; (MU10TC-Ic-h-6)
8. Create short electronic and chance music pieces using knowledge of 20th century styles.
(MU10TC-Ic-h-7)

1. identify the dimension of

technology that are enabling and
inhibiting;
2. discuss the benefit of technology;
3. utilize technology effectively
rather than be enslaved by it; and
4. explain the weakest link in a
system using strategic and intuitive
thinking.

1. Classroom Management/ Preparation

. Opening Prayer

“Let us all stand for a prayer.” The students stand for a prayer.

Good morning, class. Good morning, Ma`am!

Thank you, students, you may now

. Checking of Attendance

How are you today class?

Fine, ma`am.
Who are absent today?
None, ma’am.
Very good!

Connections, Relationships, and Networks in Understanding

Social Networks

Network- is a set of units (nerves, individuals, institutions, states)

and a rule that defines whether, how, and to what
extent any two units are tied to each other.

Example: The Wi-Fi network in your home is a good example of a

small client-server network. The various devices in your home are
wirelessly connected to the router, which acts as a central node
(server) for the household.

Connection- refers to the tie that links actor to one another.

Example: behavioral interactions, physical connections, association

or affiliation, evaluation of one person by another person, and even
formal relations.

Relationships- "a collection of ties of a specific kind measured

on pairs of actors” from a particular group of
social entities.

Example: Family relationships, Friendships, Acquaintanceships

and Romantic relationships

Social Network- refers to a set of relations that apply to a set of

actors, as well as any additional information those actors and
relations.
Social networking uses internet-based social media platforms to
connect with friends, family, or peers.

Example: some of the most popular social networking sites in the

Philippines include Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Messenger, and
Youtube.

Actor - a social unit that is playing a role in a larger social system.

THE BRAIN AND THE NERVOUS SYSTEM AS A NEURAL

NETWORK

Neural Network- it is a computational model of a single neuron

that is made up of one or more inputs, a processor, and a single
output.

Example: recognizing handwriting or facial recognition, the

While a social network is made up of
humans, a neural network is made up
of neurons (Artificial Neural Networks)
which is a computer system modeled of
a human brain and nervous system.
brain very quickly makes some decisions. For example, in the
case of facial recognition, the brain might start with “It is female
or male? Is it black or white?

Dr. Robert Hecht-Nielsen, the inventor of one of the earliest

neurocomputers, defines neural network or more commonly
called “artificial” neural network (ANN).

Artificial Neural Network (ANN) - is an attempt to simulate H

the network of neurons that make up a human brain so that the
computer will be able to learn things and make decisions in a A
humanlike manner. ANNs are created by programming regular
computers to behave as though they are interconnected brain
cells.

Example: Google self-driving car, which is trained to classically

recognize a dog, a truck, or a car. J
-Tesla

Stimulus - It acts as the receiver of information in the human

brain represented by the neural or nerve net. D

Neuron - It refers to the basic computing units of the nervous

system.
