CONCLUSION
I WILL EXPLAIN THE TOPICS GIVEN SUCH AS:

 TENDER
 BILL OF QUANTITIES
 BILLING PAPER
 QUERRY LIST
 DIMENSION PAPER
FROM EACH TITLE I WILL EXPLAIN WHAT IS A TENDER?

WHAT IS THE DESCRIPTION?

I WILL GIVE EXAMPLES FOR EACH TITLE

I HOPE WHEN I DO THIS ASSIGNMENT I CAN KNOW HIGHER AND UNDERSTAND DEEPLY
ABOUT THIS SUBJECT.

1
WHAT IS TENDER?

A tender is a submission made by a prospective in response to an invition to tender it makes an offer

for the supply of goods or services. As procurement routes have become more complex, tender may

be sought for a wide range of goods and services(for example, on a construction management

contract the works are construted by a number of different trade cantractors each contracted to the

client)and contractors may take on additional functions such as design and management.

Tender request documents (also known as invitations to tende or Request for Tender(RFT))are

submitted by organisations and often include the specific project requirements, criteria and

instructions that needs to be fulfilled by the supplier.Future tenders are generally commonly

advertised to offer opportunities to a larger pool of suppliers while encouraging fair competition.

What are the most common types of tender and tendering process:

The 4 main types of tenders are:

 OPEN TENDER

 SELECTIVE TENDER

 NEGOTIATED TENDER

 SINGLE–STAGE AND TWO-STAGE TENDER

2
BIL OF QUANTITIES(BQ)

A bill of quantities (sometimes referred to as ‘BoQ’ and ‘BQ’) is a document generally prepare by a

cost consultant(such as a quantities surveyor)that provides project-specific measure quantities of the

items in drawings and specifications for a built asset such as a building. Preparing a bill quantities

requires that the design is completed and a specifications has been prepare. The quantities listed in a

bill of quantities may be measure in term of number, length , area , volume, weight or time.

Bill of quantities are normally only prepare on larger project. On smaller project (or for alteration work)

the supplier can be expected to measure their own quantities from drawing and schedule of work are

‘without quantities’ instructional lists that allow the contractor on identify significant work and material

that will bw needed to completed the work and to the quantities that will bw required.

What is a bill quantities for?

Bills of quantities are generally prepare as part of the tender documentation that is issued to

prospective suppliers to obtain a price. The bill of quantities assists tenders in the calculation costs

their tender and as it means all tenders will be pricing the same quantities (rather than taking off

quantities from the drawing and specifications themselves), it also provides a fair and accurate system

for tendering and a useful way of comparing tenders.

Supplier tender against the bill of quantities, stating their price for each item. This priced bill of

quantities constitutes the tender’s offer. As the offer is built up of prescribed items, it is possible to

compare both the price and individual items directly with other tenteres’s offers , allowing a detailed
assessment of which aspects of a tender may offer good or poor value. This information can assist

can assist with tender negotiations.

BILLING PAPER

Billing is defined as the step-by-step process of requesting payment from customers by issuing

invoices. An invoice is the commercial document businesses use to request payment and record

sales. However, this does not mean it is entirely decommissioned. They are still being used to

supplement the on-screen computer-aided take-offs. In colleges and universities, the dimension paper

is very common,as the training there focuses first on the basic principles before introducing students

to more advanced and automated BIM-based quantity surveying processes.

FUNCTION BILLING PAPER

Billing papers are used when more copies of invoices and receipts are required in businesses. Hence,

the billing paper business is driven by the rising demand for convenience, budget-friendly, and user-

friendly billing transactions.

Use billing paper :

The word “bill" designates an accounting document that outlines the amount a customer has to pay

for a product or service that is purchased. It is also considered as a payment reminder. A bill is issued

before the payment is sent, and it is used one-time and immediately.

EXAMPLE BILLING PAPER
Dimension Paper

A dimension paper also known as a take off sheet or measurement sheet is used to enter

measurements taken off from an architectural drawing or building plan. The traditional quantity take

off sheet in the form of A4 paper is widely used at professional learning institutions of quantity

surveying, but it’s also used by consulting quantity surveyors, engineers, contractors and building

estimators.A dimension paper has two faces; the front and the back face. These two faces are

referred to as dimension to as dimension sheets. Each dimension sheet is split into two identically

ruled parts. Each ruled part consists of four columns as illustrated below .
Let see what each of these columns represent:

 Column 1 is called the “timesing column”. This is where multiplying figures

are entered when is more than one of a particular item being measured.

 Column 2 is called the “ dimension column”. This is where actual

dimensions are entered as scaled or taken direct from drawing. There may be

one, two or there lines of dimensions depending on whether the dimension

being recorded is liner , square or cubic.

 Column 3 is called the “squaring column”. This is where the length, area or

volume is obtained by multiplying together figures in the time sing column and

the dimension column is recorded, ready to transfer to the abstract or draft

bill.

 Column 4 is called the “description column”. This column is for entering

written description of each measure item. The right hand side of this column is

used to accommodate preliminary calculations, sometimes termed “side-

casts”. And other basic information needs in building up the dimensions.

This right-hand side of the dimensions columns when to record side-casts is referred to as
“waste”.
QUARRY LIST

SQL provide much in build function to perform operation of table data, these function can

be with-in SQL statement or queries, and can also be used within then environment

provided by the SQL Server ( Transact-SQL) date base, such as stored procedures, functions,

triggers.

SQL Built-in functions are generally used to perform string concatenations, mathematical.

SQL functions are categorized into the following two categories :

1) SQL Built-In-Functions

2) SQL User Defined Functions

SQL BUILT-IN FUNCTION

SQL provide many built-in function for performing processing on string or numeric data, the

following are the list of categories of Built-in function based on the type of data used

operation

1. Aggregate

2. Scalar functions
CONCLUSION

In conclusion I can recognize what it is tender, bill of quantities (BQ), billing paper, querry

list, dimension paper and elaborate each column of that paper. I can describe the examples in

each picture . When I do this assignment I can get to know one of these topics.

Before I didn't know about all this but when you gave me this assignment, my knowledge is more

extensive in this field. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to investigate in this field or this

subject. I am also sorry if my description does not match the true meaning.
