It is a 2007 two thousand seven drama film. After the racial RESHIAL struggles STRAgOLs of the early 90s, a

In this film, we can see that the students speak a socially marked variety of low-status American English, such
as slang words and taboo words.

We can see that in the Italian version the dubbing is characterized by a more neutral language (some bad
words are replaced).

In conclusion, we can say that this case study demonstrates DEMONSTREITS that meaning and language adapt
to one's cultural context.

E' un film drammatico del 2007. Dopo le lotte razziali dei primi anni '90 un'insegnante, in California, educa una
classe difficile alla tolleranza.

In questo film possiamo vedere che gli studenti parlano una varietà socialmente marcata di inglese americano
tipico di uno status sociale basso, come parole gergali e parole tabù.

Possiamo vedere che nella versione italiana il doppiaggio è caratterizzato da un linguaggio più neutro (vengono
sostiuite alcune parolacce).

In conclusione, possiamo dire che questo caso di studio dimostra che il significato ed il linguaggio si adatta al
proprio contesto di culturale.

INDIAN HUMOR AND CULTURE: BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM

Is a 2002 film.

The film tells of an Indian girl named Jess who has a passion for soccer, but her parents, respectful of Indian
traditions, are against it.

The main characters are: Jess who is the protagonist and dreams of becoming like Beckham, Jules, Jess's friend
who plays football with her, Joe, the coach of the two girls.

An interesting case of transposition of Indian culture in Italian dubbing is represented in this film. The film is in
fact based on a cultural conflict.
The first thing that strikes the viewer is the pronunciation, both in the original version and in the dubbed
version. For example, within the same Brahmras family (Jess's family) there are differences between the two
sisters in the ways of speaking in fact Pinky is more related to his family and tradition than Jess.

In addition, typical Punjabi (Indian language) vocabulary words and expressions are present in the film

UMORISMO E CULTURA INDIANA: SOGNANDO BECKAM

è un film del 2002. Prodotto e girato in Gran Bretagna.

Il film racconta di una ragazza indiana di nome Jess che ha una passione per il calcio, ma i genitori, rispettosi
delle tradizioni indiane, sono contrari.

I personaggi principali sono: Jess che è la protagonista e sogna di diventare come Beckham, Jules, amica di Jess
che gioca a calcio con lei, Joe, l’allenatore delle due ragazze.

Un interessante caso di trasposizione della cultura indiana nel doppiaggio italiano è rappresentato in questo
film . Il film si basa infatti su un conflitto culturale.

La prima cosa che colpisce lo spettatore è la pronuncia, sia in versione originale che nella versione doppiata. Ad
esempio,all'interno della stessa famiglia Brahmras (la famiglia di Jess) ci sono differenze tra le due sorelle nei
modi di parlare infatti Pinky è più legato alla sua famiglia e tradizione rispetto a Jess.

Inoltre, nel film sono presenti parole ed espressioni tipiche del vocabolario Punjabi (lingua indiana)

Four Weddings and a Funeral is a 1994 film directed by Mike Newell MAIK NIUOLL. The sentimental comedy
tells the story of a man surrounded SORRAUNDED by many friends who, with a series of social occasions, meets
the one who will become BICAM the woman of his life, in fact, over the course of five different occasions
Charles learns about love thanks to a American woman (CARRIE) met at a wedding.

Quattro matrimoni e un funerale (Four Weddings and a Funeral) è un film del 1994 diretto da Mike Newell. La
commedia sentimentale narra le vicende di un uomo circondato da molti amici che, attraverso una serie di
occasioni sociali, incontra quella che diverrà la donna della sua vita, infatti, Nel corso di cinque diverse
occasioni Charles impara a conoscere l'amore grazie a una donna americana conosciuta a un matrimonio.
