️Kid and Father

Manu was a seven year old boy. He was naughty, funny and very mischievous. One day, his mom was
unwell and he was looked after by his daddy. Manu’s daddy asked him to go to bed as it was close to
9.30 pm. Manu went to his room. His daddy was watching television in the living room.

It was 9.45 and Manu called, ‘Daddy, can you please bring me a glass of water to drink?’

Daddy was annoyed, ‘No way Manu! You get it on your own!’

After five minutes, Manu called his dad and said, ‘Daddy can you please give me a glass of water? I’m
very thirsty’

Daddy replied, ‘No Manu. I already told you!’

After five minutes, Manu shouted, ‘Daddy can you please give me water?’

Daddy said, ‘I told you twice, I won’t! If you ask again, I will come in and spank you!’

Manu was silent for a while. After 10 minutes, ‘Daddy, when you come to spank me, can you please give
me a glass of water?’

Dad was speechless 😶

️The Wise Man:

People have been coming to the wise man, complaining about the same problems every time. One day
he told them a joke and everyone roared in laughter.

After a couple of minutes, he told them the same joke and only a few of them smiled.

When he told the same joke for the third time no one laughed anymore.

The wise man smiled and said:

“You can’t laugh at the same joke over and over. So why are you always crying about the same
problem?”

Moral: Worrying won’t solve your problems, it’ll just waste your time and energy.

️Two Frogs
A group of frogs were traveling through the woods, and two of them fell into a deep pit. When the other
frogs saw how deep the pit was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead. The two frogs
ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pit with all their might. The other frogs kept
telling them to stop, that they were as good as dead. Finally, one of the frogs took heed to what the
other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down and died.

The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again, the crowd of frogs yelled at him to
stop the pain and just die. He jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the other
frogs said, "Did you not hear us?" The frog explained to them that he was deaf. He thought they were
encouraging him the entire time.

Moral: There is power of life and death in the tongue. An encouraging word to someone who is down
can lift them up and help them make it through the day. So be careful of what you say. Speak life to
those who cross your path. The power of words... it is sometimes hard to understand that an
encouraging word can go such a long way.

️Shake off problems:

A man and his donkey were on the way to grazing while the donkey fell into a huge pit. The man was
shaken and tried hard to pull off his favorite donkey up to the ground.

Despite his strenuous attempts, he failed to bring the donkey back. But he can’t leave the donkey to
starve and die with pain for days.

So he decided to bury him alive and make his death smoother. So he started pouring soil over the
donkey in the pit. When he poured the soil, the donkey felt the load and shakes it off and he steps on it.

He does the same every time when the soil was poured on his body. In the end, he reached the ground
level and easily walked away to graze in the green pastures.

Moral: Don’t choose to live with your problem. Just shake off your problems and stand on it and step up
in life after learning from them. Every bad experience is a new learning. So get the positives out of it and
work towards your goals..

️Value yourself:
A speaker started off his seminar by showing a $20 to the public. He asked the people “who wants this?”
There was no surprise to see that all of them lifted their hands. He offered to give the money to one of
them but insisted that he will do something to it.

He crumpled the paper money and showed it again to the crowd and repeated the question. Still,
everyone raised the hands. He then put the money into the ground and stepped on it and then raised it
again and offered it to the public.

The people gathered there still showed interest to take that money despite seeing how dirty the note
was. He told the public” No matter what I did to this money, you all still wanted this.

You all went in favor of my offer just because the value of the money never decreased despite what all I
did to it. Similarly, value yourself despite the painful conditions or failures”

Moral: Believe in yourself and work hard to achieve success. Value yourself irrespective of the failures or
obstacles and don’t degrade yourself just because of the temporary setbacks.

️Love matters more than material items:

Some time ago, a man punished his young daughter for wasting a roll of gold wrapping paper. Money
was tight and he became angry when the child tried to decorate a box to put under the Christmas tree.

Nevertheless, the girl brought the gift to her father on Christmas day and said, ‘This is for you, daddy.’

The man became embarrassed by his overreaction a few days before, but his rage continued when he
saw that the box was empty. He yelled at her, ‘Don’t you know, when you give someone a gift, there’s
supposed to be something inside?’

The little girl looked up at her dad with tears in her eyes and cried; ‘Oh, daddy, it’s not empty at all. I
blew kisses into the box. They’re all for you, daddy.’

The father was devastated. He put his arms around his daughter, and begged for her forgiveness.

A little while later, the girl died in an accident. Her father kept the gold box by his bed for many years
and, whenever he was feeling down, he would take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of the
child who had put it there.
