HOW DO MEN AND WOMEN DRESS IN
BUSSINES?

In Chinese business culture, conservative

suits and muted ties are the norm. Bright
colors are considered inappropriate.
Regarding women's clothing,
conservative suits or dresses are
imposed; a blouse or any type of top
should have a high neckline.

IS CASUAL DRESS PERMITED IN BUSSINES

MEETINGS?
Know the proper dress code for your
business meeting. In China, most
government officials and top executives
dress formally for meetings, while lower-
and mid-level employees may wear more
casual suits. When in doubt, always wear a
suit as a sign of respect. Bright colors
should be avoided, while darker colors are
acceptable. Women should never wear low
necklines, as it would be a tasteless choice
for Chinese businessmen and women.

HOW DO PEOPLE DRESS ON SOCIAL

OCASIONS, AN INFORMAL DINNER?
To dress casually, we can use a jacket,
a polo shirt or short-sleeved shirt and
any type of dress pants. Casual
clothing gives us many possibilities
and reduces the rigidity of the
wardrobe. It is not appropriate to
wear a tie with this type of clothing.

For women we can recommend the

use of skirts, blouses and in this case
pants are also allowed.
