Trends! Everyone is familiar with this word, and even today's youth appear to keep
up with the times. It's either baggy shirts or ripped jeans. Although some trends
can be awful at times, I personally don't have a problem with them and really
appreciate some of them. similar to the popular low-rise jeans. I mean, what the
heck was going on there?
Even though they are somewhat decent, some trends yet still hit a nerve. As
Muslims, we adore having options that are more subdued. The fact that everyone has
taken our modest clothing to such an extreme level hurts. How? Let's discuss
hijabs. For us, it is the humblest and purest aspect.
Though not in the ideal way, trend seems to have gotten it. Muslim men and women
are commanded to dress modestly in the Holy Qur'an. Muslim women now cover their
heads with the hijab to safeguard their modesty and dignity from unrelated men.
Hijab, which is the most beautiful element, is a symbol of a woman's relationship
to her belief and her respect to her Almighty.
However, hijab is being worn for fashion rather than its primary purpose. You
should also cover your chest with a hijab. However, some people only wear it on
their heads, not their chests, and others even wear it revealing hair, which is
completely contrary to how it was intended to be worn.
The Turban, which once more only covers the hair, is the newest fashion. A turban-
style hijab cannot be worn if it is intended to cover a woman's intimate parts.
Then there is the practice of flaunting jewelry; after all, why would I want to do
that if I am wearing a hijab? It defeats the purpose of wearing one altogether.
Nowadays, you can see a lot of ladies tying their hijabs in artistic ways to show
off their jewelry.
You could think it looks good because it's trendy, but trust me, it doesn't. In
some ways, it seems ridiculous. It is absolutely necessary for a woman to cover her
ears while wearing the hijab.
The right way to wear a hijab is to completely cover your chest, neck, and hair.
Everyone also overlooks the fact that wearing a headscarf with tight dresses or
jeans that show off your body's shape is inappropriate. Your body should mainly be
covered, especially the shape. A woman's honor is said to be protected by the
hijab. Not for fashion, though.
