Article:

An article is a word which is used with a noun to specify the grammatical


definiteness.

There are three specific articles;

 The
 An
 A

A/An:
Both are used for non-specific nouns.

Both are not definite.

Both are used for countable nouns.

Both means one.

“a” is use for consonant sounds. “an” is used for vowel sounds.

The:
We use “the” to make something specific.

We use the for the thing which is common in knowledge.


Tenses:
 present
 past
 future

There are three times.

There are FOUR ASPECTS of all three times.

Present:
 Present indefinite/simple.
 Present continuous
 Present perfect
 Present perfect continuous.

Present simple:

Subject+ first form+ object

Examples;

I go to school.

He eat apples.

She plays in the garden.


Present continuous:
Formula:

Subject+ is, am, are+ first form+ ing + object

Examples;

She is going to a shop.

He is eating slowly.

My mother is baking.

We are playing cricket.

Present perfect:
Subject+ has, have+ third form+ object.

Examples;

She has done her work.

We have played in the garden.

We have studied parts of speech.

I have written a letter.

Present perfect continuous:


Formula;

Subject+ has, have+ been+ first form+ ing+ object

Examples;

They have been doing their work.

We have been reading this book since Monday.

She has been eating her food.
