Peter the Dreamer

Norman S. Lasam and Luningning A. Enriquez

Do you dream when you sleep? What is your most unforgettable dream? This
story is about Peter’s dreams for the entire week.
Last Monday, he dreamed that he had wings and he could fly. He happily played
with the birds and flew up in the sky. When Peter woke up, he said “Wow that was an
amazing dream!” The next day, he dreamed that he was the richest person in the world.
Using his money, he helped the families in his country that were affected by COVID-19.
He woke up with a smile. He realized that sharing your blessings with others can make
you happy.

The following day, he dreamed that he was a prince and he fought the mighty
dragon using his sword made up of lightning and saved his princess. He easily defeated
the flamethrower dragon because he was brave and strong. When Peter woke up, he said
“Wow I had another amazing dream!” Thursday came, he dreamed that he became a
successful vlogger and had 10 million subscribers. He was very popular and became a
great influencer in following strict rules against COVID-19. When he woke up, he felt
proud.

Then, the next day, he dreamed that he was a superhero who can run as fast as a
jet and helped the police to capture the bad guys. The dream he had last Saturday
became his favorite because he became an outstanding doctor. He discovered the
vaccine that can cure the people who were infected by the COVID. He was able to stop
the pandemic.

When he woke up, he already knew what will be his dream in life. That Sunday,
he went to the church and thanked the Lord for giving him the sign of what he will be in
the future – to become a doctor.
Questions:
1. What is the title of the story?
2. Who is the main character in the story?
3. What are the different dreams of Peter?
4. How did Peter show his faith in God?
5. What is your dream in life? Why did you choose this dream?
