Below some Clarifications to bidders’ queries:

 Is the metallic silos (solution 4) part of the steel structure to

be designed?

Answer:
We are studying 2 solutions. Solution 4 for steel silos or solution 6
for concrete silos.
The civil consultant will be required upon assignment to provide
us with input information related to civil works costs and
implementation time (not including steel silos costs and time of
implementation). Based on this information we will select either
solution 4 or solution 6.
• In case solution 4 is selected (steel Silos), the civil
consultant will be required to design all civil structural works
which includes general building, infrastructure and
foundations but not the steel silos themselves. The
consultant will get load information about the steel silos from
the steel silos supplier and account for it in the foundation
design.
• In case solution 6 is selected (concrete Silos), the civil
consultant will be required to design all civil structural works
as mentioned above including the concrete silos.
