1. The contemporary world is an ever-changing mix of social and

political changes. While religious, political, and ethnic conflicts continue,
we live in one of the most peaceful eras in the planet's history. Challenges
of the 21st century include emerging technologies, health care,
overpopulation, climate change, poverty, illiteracy, disease, and migration.
How we choose to deal with these emerging frontiers will shape this unit
for future generations while the traditional world exists in or as part of a
tradition; long-established where no technologies were built and we solely
rely on stuff that isn’t high-tech.
2. The contemporary world refers to the circumstances and ideas
of our current time. From costly conflicts to tremendous political
developments to a global pandemic, it is safe to say that the 21st century
has been quite chaotic. Recent events have put various issues including
bodily autonomy, climate change, and territorial sovereignty, at the
forefront of the global discussion. A good understanding of the
contemporary world helps us become more conscious, responsible
citizens, no matter what country we are from. Lastly, I want to know more
about how we can balance both the traditional and contemporary world.
Yes, because we forget our traditional world and only appreciate the
contemporary world.
3. Why do we need to learn about this topic? Because we can’t
afford to send everyone to different worlds! Most of us grow up thinking
that ours is “the way.” What we don’t realize is that people grow up in
different places equally convinced that theirs is “the way.” Learning to
see our “world” through the eyes of other people gives us huge
advantages as we grow up and assume our positions in our own worlds
