Call for Application


The Institute invites applications from research scholars and young faculty in Social Sciences for a three-day workshop on Writing
Academic Papers to be organized during 12 – 14 September, 2023. The objective of the workshop is to provide an opportunity to
young scholars to engage with philosophical and theoretical aspects of interdisciplinarity in Social Sciences, with a focus on
critical evaluation and analytical rigor in dissemination of ideas. The workshop will focus on diverse styles, conventions,
protocols and ways of enhancing proficiency in academic writing.

Workshop Contents
• Generating and choosing an idea.
• Connecting with the reader.
• Literature review (with specific focus on review-based papers).
• Writing theoretical articles. Important Dates and information
• Theorizing field data in research papers.
• Drafting a research paper. Call for the application: August 3, 2023.
• Citations and referencing. Last date for receiving application: August 20,
• Abstract, title and keywords. 2023
• Plagiarism and ethics of paper writing. Result for selection: August 22, 2023
• Top reasons for rejection of papers. Dates of workshop: September 12 – 14, 2023
• Copy editing.

Who Can Apply


Research Scholars, Researchers in Social Science faculty.
Application Fee: ₹500/- per participant (The application fee is non-refundable).

How to Apply

Interested candidates may submit the filled-in application form not later than August 20, 2023. Applicants are required to upload a
working/non-published paper (not exceeding 3000 words) through the dedicated platform. While uploading the paper, kindly use
your complete name as the filename. Only shortlisted applicants will be notified and called for the workshop.

Travel and Accommodation: No TA/DA shall be provided. Accommodation will be provided to shortlisted (outstation)
participants on request; however, they have to bear an additional cost of ₹ 500/- for food and lodging.
