Overview

DESCRIPTION The Sauer-Danfoss MCE102B Automotive Controller allows a vehicle equipped with a
hydrostatic transmission to be driven like a car.

The Controller also included an anti stall function which works around a xed, but
adjustable, RPM.

FEATURES • Propel speed control proportional to engine RPM.

• Anti stall function at xed-RPM mode.

• Available with enclosure.

• 12 VDC or 24 VDC supply voltage.

• Reverse polarity and short circuit protected.

• Moisture and corrosion resistant.

• Withstands vibration and shock.

Theory of Operation

THEORY OF OPERATION The EDC control algorithm follows a customer-adjustable curve (see gure 1). The output
of the Automotive Controller MCE102B is a function of the engine RPM.

In reference to one adjustable setpoint an anti stall function is also available.

The anti stall function is active when switch S2 is closed.

Generally, switch S2 must only be closed if the engine is driven in xed-RPM mode.

The actuation of S2 must be done, when the engine RPM is higher than the setpoint RPM
of the anti stall function.

The adjustable control parameters are shown in gure 2.

The control characteristic of the anti stall function is shown in gure 3.
