4.1. Description of first aid measures


Inhalation Remove affected person from source of contamination. Get medical attention if any discomfort
continues.

Ingestion Do not induce vomiting. If vomiting occurs, the head should be kept low so that vomit does not
enter the lungs. Get medical attention immediately.

Skin contact Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Get medical
attention promptly if symptoms occur after washing.

Eye contact Remove any contact lenses and open eyelids wide apart. Continue to rinse for at least 15
minutes and get medical attention.

Methods for cleaning up Dampen spillage with water. Eliminate all sources of ignition. No smoking, sparks, flames or
other sources of ignition near spillage. Provide adequate ventilation. Use non sparking
handtools and explosion-proof electric equipment. Collect and place in suitable waste disposal
containers and seal securely. Label the containers containing waste and contaminated
materials and remove from the area as soon as possible. Flush contaminated area with plenty
of water. Avoid generation and spreading of dust. Containers with collected spillage must be
properly labelled with correct contents and hazard symbol.
