Every person engaged in food processing( drinking Water ) or food
handling should maintain a high degree of personal hygiene. Sanitary personal habits prevent contamination or cross contamination to happen.
Hair – should be short enough; therefore, regular hair cutting is
recommended. Nail – nail should not be longer than 0.05 mm. No nail polish and artificial nail. Beard and moustache- should be regularly shaved to 0.1 mm maximum length OTHERWISE use beard cover. Wearing of any type of jewelry is strictly prohibited inside the production area. Cosmetic such as perfume, lotion, etc are not permitted because it may cause food contamination. Carrying personal accessories inside the production area, such as cell phone, walkman, Discman, etc., is also prohibited. Taking bath daily is necessary. Use foot powder and deodorant to control foot and underarm bad odor. Strictly follow uniform policy. Food safety management system
Avoid bad habits in production area: spitting, nose picking, sneezing,
and unnecessary conversation, touching any part of the body, coughing or any bad habit. Dispose waste and garbage in the waste bin. Do not litter. Wash hands and sanitize as needed. Always execute proper hand washing technique. It is illegal to SMOKE in food preparation, handling and storage areas or while handling or packaging food. Use the designated area for smoking. Food handlers should not chew gum, lick fingers, eat or drink while handling food as this can result in contamination.Eat and drink only in designated area Food handlers must report health problems to the manager to take necessary actions. Pen and pencil when in use are prohibited to be placed behind ears to avoid risk of falling into products.
