This is Olivia Rodrigo! She is an up and coming very talented artist who is incredibly
vulnerable and honest within her music. She has two albums out, named “GUTS” and
“SOUR”. They fluctuate between pop and rock, with deep cuts and headbanging
anthems. She is a twenty year old with one of the most streamed albums in Spotify
history, and her newest work “GUTS” debuting with 295k units on the Billboard 200
albums chart. She is a songwriter and performer for a living, with an already massive
fanbase, assisted by the fact she got her start in the Disney TV Show “High School
Musical, The Musical, The Series” (a mouthful). Although she got her start with a major
entertainment company, she started her songwriting career by posting videos on
instagram and gaining traction with producers and labels from there. She denied Disney
any part in getting her onto a label, and worked her way up to her current fame
organically. I aspire to be like her because she writes honestly and makes people feel
less alone through her writing, which is something I would love to do. She shows
diligent work ethic and aesthetic mastery, as well as insane vocal control and delivery,
all things I admire and aspire to have.
