Report Writing

Your class recently visited sea turtle recovery pools in a resort and your teacher has now asked to write a
report about what you have learned from the trip AND suggest how the resort could further improve the
pools.

Here are two comments from other students in your class:

Introduction

This reports purports to highlight what we learned from the trip to the turtle recovery pools in Rihiveli Resort
and suggest ways to enhance the pools further.

The trip

We were fascinated to see two of the most common species of turtle in Maldives, which is Green Turtle and
Hawksbill turtle being under observation in a such a large quantity. The turtles were carefully monitored by
qualified employees on a weekly basis. They were fed squids, fish eggs and lobsters along with essential
vitamins for recovery. Injured turtles were nursed specially by marine experts.

There are currently 30 turtles distributed into two pools. Sadly, this has resulted in severe overcrowding in
the pools. Additionally, the pools tend to be extremely unhygienic as the employees majorly give important
to monitor the turtles. The overcrowded and unhygienic pools evidently display the whole project as an
eyesore.

Recommendation

In light of the observations, I vehemently believe that the resort should take in accordance to upgrade the
pools and provide enough space for each turtle. Moreover, employees must prioritise the cleanliness of the
pools as much as monitoring the physical well-being of the turtles.
