Preliminary
Activities
After the short briefing of the schedule, the students will be tasked to identify the correct meaning of Hanyu,
Hanzi and Pinyin. They will have to choose the right meaning from provided choices.
A.
Introduction
Hanyu is the Chinese name for the main Chinese language or language of the Han people. The Han people or
also known as Han Chinese constitute the world's largest ethnic group. They are primarily concentrated in
China where they make up about 92% of the total population.
B. After learning about Hanyu and the Han people, the students will identify which among the two pictures is
Developmen hanzi and pinyin.

Basically, Pinyin is made of three parts, which are initial, final and tone. With this basic knowledge, the
students will be tasked to identify which is the initial, final and tone of this given word.
C.
Engagement
WRITTEN ASSESSMENT
Identify the initial, final and tone of the following pinyin.
1. nĭ
2. hăo
3. wŏ
4. hěn
VIII. ASSIGNMENT
Study the meaning of the pinyin used in the written assessment.
IX. REMARKS
SPFL-CM 7 is taken only four (4) times a week with one (1) hour per meeting.
X. REFLECTION
A. No. of learners who earned 80% in evaluation
B. No. of learners who required additional activities for remediation who scored below 80%
