Greetings of peace and prosperity!

We, the advisers of The Pen Talk, are writing to request your permission to recruit, excuse, and train a
group of students for the District School Press Conference that will take place on May 13, 2023 at
Matabungkay National High School, Matabungkay, Lian, Batangas. We believe that our school has a
wealth of talented writers and reporters who could represent us well in the competition.

To prepare for this contest, we propose to hold a training program from May 10 to 12, from 7:00 am
to 3:00 pm at Lian National High School - Main Building. This training will cover various aspects of
journalism, including news writing, editorial writing, feature writing and so on, and will be led by us,
the school paper advisers.

We understand that this request is coming on short notice, but we assure you that the students who
will participate have demonstrated a keen interest in journalism and are eager to represent our school
in the contest. To ensure that the training does not interfere with the students' academic progress, we
propose to excuse them from their regular classes during the training period.

We kindly request your support and approval for this initiative, which we believe will not only benefit
the participating students but also the school's reputation in the wider community.

selected as district qualifiers for the upcoming District Schools Press Conference, which will be held
on May 13, 2023 at Matabungkay National High School, Matabungkay, Lian, Batangas. This is a
significant achievement, and we are proud of your child/children's excellent performance in the
school's journalism program.

To ensure that your child/children are adequately prepared for the conference, we are organizing a
campus journalist training program from May 10 to 12, from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm at Lian National
High School – Main Building. The training will cover various aspects of journalism, including news
writing, editorial writing, feature writing and so on, and will be led by us, the school paper advisers.

We understand that the training and conference will take place during regular school days, and your
child/children will be excused from their classes during the training period. We kindly request your

students who will participate in the competition. The training will cover various aspects of journalism,

paper advisers.
