Battery repairs should include the following specific jobs:

510 – Replace

The above jobs will consist of the following:

Each Job should have SMU's For both 1st and 2nd Intervals, a labor time, a component group number
input in the Group Number Field, and a complete parts list with the exception of the Remove & Install
job. When there are two components, an O (BOTH) quantity modifier is used and enter 1 in the
QUANTITY column. If there are more than 2 batteries, use quantity code S (SET-ALL) and enter 1 in the
quantity column. The Labor Code for REPLACE WILL BE FLD.

1401 - 510 - Replace Battery

LABOR
INCLUDES: Labor for replacement of the component.
EXCLUDES: Excessive labor for removal of component due to any type of failure. Cleaning due to
excessive exposure to extreme conditions such as dust and debris. Excessive labor caused by rust and
corrosion.
PARTS
INCLUDES: All parts to replace the battery/batteries. Cable assemblies and ground straps up to $1500
total parts cost.
EXCLUDES: Any other parts.
