PREFER TO PRACTICE
Democratic
- We agreed on the democratic leadership style as one of our preferred approaches.
Democratic leadership involves leaders actively seeking input and opinions from team
members when making decisions. We value this style because it empowers everyone,
making each person feel important and motivated. It encourages diverse viewpoints,
leading to better ideas and solutions. Moreover, it enhances problem-solving by
considering various perspectives. Ultimately, democratic leadership aligns with our
group's goal of collaboration, inclusivity, and effective decision-making, making it one of
our top choices.

Trainer
- Utilizing the trainer leadership style has the potential to benefit the entire group by
enhancing both our performance and overall satisfaction. This approach not only
improves the quality of our outcomes but also nurtures personal growth and skill
development. As a leader who adopts the trainer style, we see that actively engaging in
critiquing team members' work whenever we discern opportunities for improvement or
when they seem to be operating within their comfort zones. For instance, in the context of
a group project, when a teammate's contributions appeared lacking, we offered
constructive feedback. We encouraged them to delve deeper into their research and
provided guidance on the most effective research methods for the task at hand.

Cheerleader/Coach
- Leaders set an example to bring about positive changes in the world. It is also part of our
job to witness their improvements individually to make sure our team has sufficient
manpower to aim high and lead success in our company. We want to create an
environment where members feel comfortable sharing ideas, concerns, and feedback. It is
also our responsibility as a leader to be a listener that can help them to become motivated
to keep striving in the right path until their hard work and sacrifices are rewarded. It
empowers individuals to overcome challenges and achieve personal and professional
growth.

AVOID PRACTICING
Autocrat
- Autocratic leadership is a great way to handle situations that require immediate action;
however, this type of leadership demotivates subordinates due to the lack of input they
have over the decisions made. Leaders are the ones making the call in this type of
leadership with the subordinates having to follow what the leaders do even if they think
the course of action chosen is not optimal. This makes subordinates feel unconfident in
sharing their own thoughts and ideas, leading to dissatisfaction and decline in
performance. This leadership type ignores the creative solutions and expertise that the
members can contribute with.

Hands-off
- A hands-off leader tends to work with people who are highly experienced in the industry.
They are the type of leaders who assign tasks to their members and just leave them to do
their work. If one cannot function correctly, problems are more likely to arise. We think
this type of leadership might overestimate the team’s ability that if ever one of them fail,
the whole task will fail. They can be ousted from the office by his subjects which again
can lead to poor decisions that can affect the organization. It will be hard to function as a
group if they don’t have good relationship.
