Acknowledgement:
First of all, I would like to thank Ms. Chau and Ms. Khanh, two
supervisors who guided me in this internship period, especially Ms.
Khanh, the head of the language center of Nha Trang University.
Above all, I would not be able to fulfill my responsibilities and duties
successfully without the companionship and help from Ms. Lan, Mr.
Lam, all the staff at the Foreign Language Center Office of Nha Trang
University.
There is a quote: "If you want to go quickly, go alone; if you want to
go far, go together". I am so grateful when my friends in the group
have accompanied each other, shared the work, and helped each other.
I want to thank all the members of Group 1, Yen, Duyen, Mai Anh
and Ngan. In the span of two months, although it was not too long, I
had a lot of opportunities to learn many meaningful things from
everyone, better understand myself, and what to improve when
entering the educational working environment.

well as learning many lessons from everyone I met and cooperated
with. Through this time, I had a little practical experience in working
as an English teacher and knew what things can happen in a real class.
Importantly, there were many soft skills that I could learn and improve
during the internship stage.

SWOT
Strengths:

- The center belongs to Nha Trang University, one of the three largest
universities in the Central region, so it has the advantage of potential
learners. In addiion, It has builts trust and credibility with its partners
pretentiously.

3
- A team of highly qualified lecturers available from the Faculty of Foreign
Languages of Nha Trang university (PhD/Master) trained in advanced
countries such as UK, USA, China, Japan, Korea. The lecturers who are
international lectures and Vietnamese lecturers are applied a standard
recruitment process to ensure pedagogical ability, professional
qualifications, experience as well as enthusiasm and enthusiasm when
working for the Centre.
- The Centre regularly opens training courses, fostering new and updated
teaching programs according to new educational trends for the
participating lecturers to ensure good, advanced, dynamic and always
changing teaching methods.
- Inheriting modern, international standard facilities for both studying and
organizing international standard exams.
- The Centre has a long history in teaching management, so it has gained a
lot of experience: eliminating inadequacies, absorbing new things,
upgrading and changing to become more and more perfect, applying
technology information for online and distance teaching
Weaknesses:
- The promotion has not been promoted well, so the information of the
Centre has not reached many people popularly.
- The Center has transformed its operation form recently, and the
information of the course programs also cause many misunderstandings
between only accepting students who are in Nha Trang univeristy not
students outside.
- Facilities being shared with the university have affected the arrangement
of classrooms and exam rooms, causing inconvenience to teachers and
students during the learning process.
- It is necessary to spend more time and specific strategies preparing the
admissions work in the direction of in-depth approach to the target
audience better, avoiding passiveness and overcrowding.
Opportunities:
- The demand for foreign language learning has been increasing and
developing for years.
- People's income level is getting higher and higher, so they are not afraid
to invest in education, especially in foreign language learning.
- Requirements to meet the standards of foreign language certificates in
administrative and non-business units and enterprises when recruiting,
considering admission, and graduation are raising commonly.

3
- The target market is expanding day by day.The ability to position the
brand in the mind of target customers and potential customers.
- Become one of the leading foreign language training units in Khanh Hoa
province and top five in the region.
Threats:
- The competition of centers with a long history of prestigious foreign
language teaching.
- The epidemic situation occurs frequently, causing marketing and
enrollment activities to be halted, leading to excessive consumption of
reserve capital.
- The rapid development of the economy => the competition of enterprises
with large investment resources in the future.
- It is increasingly difficult to find a team of employees who are able to
work with a high sense of responsibility, to work in the working
environment that requires many factors in terms of other skills, and
awareness of the importance of employees who can work to create high
performance as well as trust within employees and with customers.
- Customers are more and more meticulous; their needs today are not only
training quality but also a variety of training products and services.
2. Internship process:
- During 2 months of internship at the Center, I have completed the
following tasks:
 Attending a practical class at the center on November 28, 2022
 Designing lesson plans for A2.2-level classes according to textbook
 Participating in teaching a practical lesson with the theme of Filming
Wildlife for a class of 30 people on November 30, 2022
 Be present at the center's office to observe, learn and be guided by the
center's staff.
Experience:
- In teaching, I have learned a lot from my supervisors' feedback with
many techniques and methods in teaching a regular class.
- First, I had an observation period to find out information in order to
assess the level of the students who I woud teach, which could help me
prepare well for the class.
- Next, in order to have a smooth class, I have to make a lesson plan.
Importantly, the division of time and lesson content according to each
timeline should be divided as reasonably as possibly. In particular, when
teaching, it is necessary to interweave many techniques of a teacher such
as giving instructions, checking instructions, explaining, prompting,

3
suggesting answers for students, or relating lessons to examples in the
real life, summarizing what they learned in a lesson.
- Moreover, when I was interned at the Center's office, I improved my
communication skills, problem solving skills, and teamwork skills. We
were divided into groups at the Center, each group woulb be on duty for a
week. During that time, we shared the schedule with each other,
designing the brochure together. One day of our duty were 1-2 people
from 7:30 am to 11am or afternoon from 13:30pm to 17 pm. I had the
opportunity to interact and learn from the dynamic and friendly staff of
the Center.
3)Advantages:
- My internship was completely completed when the instructor
enthusiastically supported me. Specifically, the students were told to be
punctual and serious in my class, the lesson plan prepared by me was
clearly suggested by Ms.Hai Chau. After finishing the lesson, I received
sincere feedback that I need to be more careful in giving instructions to
students as clearly and concisely as possible with simple sentences and
words that are easy to understand.
4)Disadvantages:
- During the teaching process, some students refused to cooperate and
work separately. Because the internship is at the end of the term, most of
the classes are in the exam preparation stage, so the number of classes is
not much to facilitate teaching.
5)Recommendation:
- Students need more opportunities to teach practical classes to improve
their professional competence and pedagogical skills, so it is necessary to
increase the number of teaching hours at the Center in each internship
period, which help interns to have more experience and develop their full
potential, especially in teaching majors.

Conclusion
- The internship was a good chance for me to be in contact with a new job,
especially teaching job. The internship time provided me an intensive
understanding and practical experience about the process of teaching.
During the internship, I expanded a lot of new knowledge, skills and
worked with experienced teachers who were my instructors. Thanks to
this time, I could find out my strengths and weaknesses relating to
teaching, which helped me identify what knowledge, skills and
techniques that I need to enhance in the future.

3
- In addition, the internship provided me plenty of new insight and
motivation to adapt working environment and feel more confident for the
future job in teaching career. After the 8-week internship, I complete my
internship successfully with the devoted helpand wholehearted guidance
of my supervisors at the department of Centre for Foreign Languages.
- Once again, I honestly would like to thank to the University of Nha Trang
and Centre for Foreign Languages, two supervisors (Ms. Khanh and Ms.
Chau) at the Centre for Foreign Languages, who offer me unique
opportunities to have a wonderful intership time.
