Successful Completion: 1. Ability to check the FETs on the Inverters.

Procedure:

1. Perform a functional study consisting of a surview and an axial head protocol.

Note:
Inverter FET check should be performed every 6 months!!!!
FET Check
2. There are 40 FETs in each Inverter.
Verify with a multimeter that the voltage between Drain and Source is between 0.3 V – 0.5 V.
(The multimeter should be in diode check position.)

3. If the voltage between Drain & Source exceeds the above voltage, replace the FET or the Inverter.

FET DRIVER Test

4. There is a 8 pin driver near each FET.
Check with an Ohmmeter the resistance between pins 3 – 7 of the driver.
The resistance should exceed 100 ohms.

5. If the resistance is less than the above, replace the Inverters.
