Dear future me,

I am sending you this letter to tell you what we’ve wish to be in five years.
She is a lawyer, a passionate leader, a feminist, a very (too) kind person, a committed person
and a changemaker.
She stills special (me and the future me) because she is passionate; She never lets anyone
behind if they need our help ; she is extremely brave and courageous ; she is able to fight
strongly to attend ours goals ; she is pretty and clever because she used to learn from others
and gave our very best in everything she is committed to. She is a superwoman.
The real me is sensible, empathic, and really kind. She is an introvert and creative person. She
is a big dreamer, and her ambition is to be a leader on gender theme in her country. For
changing her community, she needs to be more sociable, having social skills and
transformative leadership qualities and competences.
When she sees big results from her endeavors (as a volunteer, a worker or citizen), that makes
her smile. She likes also taking care of pets and other people. She enjoys every little joys in
life and being in touch with beautiful heart people.
She thinks that she is trying to achieve a change to gender issues and violences. She strongly
believes that we deserve a better world where women and girl could be safe. She is dreaming
of equity and a fair justice for girls and women. She’s fighting to be paid equitably as men.
She’s working on making the best services of education and health. She’s building a safe living
for women and girls because they deserve to be happy. And she is strong and brave enough
for giving them her support.
Her ideal self-look is brilliant, brave, a great leader, a feminist and an inspiring person. Her
ideal person is leading a great team for empowering women and girls. She is a good trainer
and an expert of laws and gender topics. She is an example for girls and women. She is happy,
well-paid, transparent, honest, fair and confident. She is an inspiration for the young generation
and a good mentor for girls.
Her goals is to be strong enough to be different. When we choose to be a transformative leader,
we need to think differently than others. We must be clear about our new ideas. Changes, that
we believe to, have to add value for our community. The future me is a creative and has all the
qualities needed for implementing her own project.
In five years, the future me has to achieve these goals:
- Being a laws’ and gender’s expert because she has to empower herself before building
capacity;
- Implementing her own project for supporting girls and women on justice access and
human capital because she has to lead changes for herself, for others women and girls
and the future generation;
- Being real well-paid as a woman because she deserved it;
- Being a good trainer for girls and women and had had created tools for gender
education because she has to use her creativity for changing the world;
- Had found interesting persons who can help her as a leader because having supports
don’t mean that we are weak.
For achieving these goals, the future me has to :
- Take the courage to ask for help for implementing and achieving her goals ;
- Take half of hour everyday for her own capacity building or for implementing her own
project ;
- Believe that she could do it and had to learn from her failures (because learned lessons
are important) ;
- Continue to empower her leadership and other soft skills.
Today, I want to tell my future self that I am working hard for making little by little some steps
for a better her. One day, we could do all of the achievements we are planning to. She will
never be alone faced to challenges. Somewhere, we’ll find beautiful hurt and chances to
implement our gender equity project.
I want my future me to say to me that we did our best all of time. It’s ok to be weak and to cry.
I am brave and the best is coming.
