Big Labelling Machine

Beginning

The aim of this task is to assemble and fit out the interior cubicle of a switchgear.
Materials needed:
 GA Drawing
 Label Board
Tools needed:
 Label Drill Bits
PPE needed:
 Safety Shoes

Preparing

 Make sure that Good and Safe Working Procedures are followed throughout the
assessment. The correct PPE was worn, and correct procedures were taken when in
the workshop. Safety shoes always worn throughout workshop, and barrier cream
applied before interacting with anything.
 Clean workspace and lay out equipment needed, check for any damage before
continuing.
 Make sure that necessary and correct drawings are available to hand to aid with label
making.
During
1. Sign in
2. Start vacuum and machine

3. Open Vision Mov UI

4. Click on only unit

5. Open VisHMUI User Interface

6. Start Homing
7. Open engraving files
8. Open CADlink template
9. Copy template
10. Vision Expert
11. Layout -> Plate Frame
12. Drag template to area
13. Double click to highlight text
14. Type in text
15. Click numbers on the right side at top -> Double click line -> insert numbers
16. Press Change -> Ok
17. Do similar vertically to give gap
18. Highlight template and drag to guide.

Checking Tool

1. Tools Screw Out

a. Biggest – Outline – 0.015
b. Middle – Engraving – 0.01
c. Smallest – Holes – 2mm

2. Set XYZ
a. Set to fast to bring toward you

3. Once there, set dial to 3, finger tighten the tool.

4. Back -> Go to home
5. Depending on tool, highlight area.
6. Tool path tools (2nd up from bottom, left hand side) -> Fill -> Set to correct engraver
-> Ok
7. Select -> Engrave -> Output
Letters
8. Select material ‘Engraving Plastic’ (For Engraving Letters)
9. Select
10. Click engrave icon (don’t touch)
11. Go to machine and press start
12. After finished press stop cutting
Holes
 13. Change cutter and set depth to 10
14. Instead of fill, use female tool (2mm)
15. Engrave again but set to purple
a. Material: Plastic Cutting
16. Stop Cutting
Outline
a) Cutting tool: Male
b) Set depth to 20
c) Set tool to 0.015
d) Change color to Red
e) Beveler (Plastic)

End

 I made sure once finished, that the piece of work is done to R&B standards
 Clean work area, make sure workspace is clean and tidy
 Inspect tools and equipment and put them away
 Fill out the necessary paperwork
