2. Calculate the raw score for each scale (except ST) by summing the circled item scores and entering the total in the
corresponding Raw Score box.
3. Calculate the ST raw score by summing the raw scores of the VlS, HEA, TOU, T&S, BOD, and BAL scales. Do not
include the raw scores for the PLN and SOC scales in the ST raw score. Enter the total in the ST Raw Score box.
4. Transfer the raw scores for each scale (ViS, HEA, TOU, T&S, BOD, BAL, ST, PLN, SOC) to the corresponding spaces
on the lower half of the Score Summary Sheet. There are two Score Summary Sheets in this form: one is for ages
4 to 6 months, and the other is for ages 7 to 9 months. Be sure to use the sheet corresponding to the age of the
person being assessed.
5. On the Score Summary Sheet, circle the raw score value for each scale in that scale's column. Connect the circled
values for a vlsual representation sf the SPM-2 results. The SPM-2 interpretive ranges are deiineated by shading:
Typical (no shading), Moderate Difficuities (light shading), and Severe Difficulties (darker shading).
6. For each circled raw score, read across the row to obtain the f-score and percentile rank on the left or right margin.
7. Enter the f-score for each scale in the corresponding space below its raw score.
Difference (DlF) scores: To calculate a Difference (DlF) score between two forms, use the DIF score calculation
worksheet on the reverse side of the Score Summary Sheet of this form. Transfer the DIF scores to the labeled spaces
on the bottom half of the Score Summary Sheet and check the corresponding lnterpretive Range box.
Please refer to Chapter 3 of the SPM-2 Manual for complete instructions on how to interpret SPM-2 scores.
