Topic: Strategy for Teaching Vocabulary

Insights or Realization:
I have realized the importance of incorporating various techniques and activities to effectively aid
students in building and retaining a strong vocabulary. One key insight I have gained is the significance
of providing explicit instruction and multiple exposures to new words. Research suggests that students
need to encounter a word multiple times in different contexts to fully understand and internalize it. This
insight has reinforced the need for me to incorporate vocabulary instruction throughout various
subjects and daily activities to expose pupils to as many new words as possible.
