Chapter 12

He continuously walks the town around to find answers to his
questions.

He was polite to Mrs. Fischer, and he behaved rather respectfully.

With his persistence, his curiosity reflects.

She cares about her guests and treats them nicely.

himself for their deaths.

Summary:

John was searching for his doppelganger, and he searches the flat. He receives help from
the housekeeper, who willingly helps him by answering his curious questions. He met Mrs.
Kovac but wasn’t able to get any information when he found out about a family named
Szabo. He went there and much to his dismay, the resident didn’t have any connection to
the person, who he was looking for. He again asked for help from the housekeeper, and he
finally visits Mrs Fischer, who told him about a man called Janos Szabo. Jonas became
depressed after his wife and daughter died in a bomb attack in Gergely Utca.
Chapter 13

He defended himself in the argument, to prove her wrong.

“I thought about it carefully, again and again.”
He carefully thought about every single detail.

Andrea Taylor -Hot-headed


“She had been so angry”
“Looked at me coldly”
She got angry with John and still seems to have held a grudge.

Stressed
“Very tired and worried”
“Saying she was tired”
She is stressed from all of the work she has to complete.

-Busy
“After a day looking after Kati”
“Saying she was tired”
She isn’t that free to spend time with her husband.

Stubborn
“Never wanted to listen to me”
“Didn’t believe me”
She doesn’t want to listen to him despite him making efforts to talk
to her.

Summary:

After his search at the flat, John reaches home to his family. He tried talking to his wife, but
she was holding a grudge against him. She listened to him but doesn’t believe him or try to
understand him. She assumed that he was sick. Furthermore, the doppelganger incident
built a wall between them, making them distance themselves from one another. In addition,
they barely spend time with each other or their daughter.
