STIMULATION

FOR CHILDREN

FROM

0 TO 3 YEARS
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR
WORKING WITH THE
NOTEBOOK
1. Paste the photo of the child and the family in the workbook.

2. Food learning will go from the concrete to the abstract, i.e. if I work
"bread", I will give it to taste and then it will be presented to the
figure in the notebook.

3. Learning the body schema will be:

1º In the child itself
2º In front of the mirror
3º In other persons and
4º lastly in the notebook

4. Garment learning will also be from the concrete to the abstract.

5. The various categories are taught gradually.

6. Work with the notebook three times a week. The working time will be
fifteen minutes. not to exceed, because it can cause rejection and
boredom.
7. If the child is young and does not recognize the drawings, start with
those that are familiar to him/her.

PRELIMINARY EXERCISES

1. Relaxation and Breathing Exercise

1.Ask the child to breathe in through the nose

slowly, without lifting the shoulders.
We can also say: let's inflate the belly like a
balloon.

2. You are told: Hold your breath.

3. Finally, the child is told to let the air out by

deflating the balloon.

Two exercises are shown below.

PRAXIS EXERCISES
Many times we want our children to speak clearly, and we even demand proper
pronunciation, but we do not realize that the organs involved in phonation, i.e.
mouth, tongue, lips and proper breathing, are being misused.

For this reason, the following are exercises that should be done before
starting any speech therapy.

Before we begin we will define praxia. Praxia are the movements of the organs
of phonation.

3.1.1 Preliminary Exercises

- Breathing

- Relaxation

- Massage.

3.1.2 Praxia Exercises

Recommendations:

Work in front of the mirror.

2. Working without a mirror

3. Imitate at verbal command.

4. Imitation with the support of plates.

3.1.3 Basis for the child to perform the exercises

a) Temporal Notion: the child must recognize up - down, inside - outside,

behind - in front, together - separate, between, right - left.
b) Comprehension: the child has to carry out the order given to him/her.
Example: tip of tongue above and to the sides.

c) Attention and concentration: the child must be attentive to the therapist's

orders.
The following exercises should be done before starting the notebook.
