A. What are the factors that need to be considered when developing materials for the use of
language in context?
According with this question, it’s necessary first to evaluate all possibilities and the ways of students’
learn in English
B. What are the different types of listening activities that can be used in English language
teaching? Give at least 3 types and explain.
C. How can teachers ensure that their speaking activities are engaging and motivating for
learners of different ages and abilities?
D. How can teachers develop writing materials that are sensitive to the cultural backgrounds
of their learners?

Being health and fitness is an amazing opportunity where the students could’ve managed

ACTIVITIES

1. Language in use Activity with at least 15 exercises

Instructions to be deleted when including the activity: Here you design an activity that
will make your students practice the grammar part related to the topic chosen, and
develop their English in use in a controlled way. Then in here, you are going to include
different exercises. For example, filling blanks, error correction, gap-filling word bank,
sentence order, verb conjugation, matching, multiple choice, etc.

2. Listening Activity (one activity that last between 5 to 10 minutes with at


least 5 exercises)

Instructions to be deleted when including the activity: Here you design a listening
activity to introduce the topic and put your students into English mode; attentive,
interested, and ready to participate. This activity cannot be longer than ten minutes
and must include at least 5 exercises. E.g. a song, a short movie clip, an T.V.
advertisement.
3. Reading activity with at least 15 exercises

Instructions to be deleted when including the activity: Here you design an activity
that will make your students practice the topic and develop their reading skills. Then
in here, you are going to include different exercises. For example, reading
comprehension questions, true or false questions, matching exercises, among others.

4. Writing activity with at least 15 exercises

Instructions to be deleted when including the activity: Here you design an activity that
will make your students practice the topic and develop their writing skills in a controlled
way. Then in here, you are going to include different exercises. For example,
completing a text, rewriting or unscrambling sentences.

5. Speaking activity

Instructions to be deleted when including the activity: Here you design an activity to
make your student use the language freely by producing their own content and for you
to evaluate what they have learned. Here you need to include productive activities to
make your students speak. E.g. dialogues, simulations, interviews, creating videos,
among others.
