The need to connect the Technology and Livelihood Education concept to its real-world

application is what makes learning transfer possible through a teaching and learning method

that is based on context. Contextualization is the process of making sure that students' needs

are met by the content and teaching methods. (Department of education [DepEd], 2016). It is

when things, situations, and experiences that are relevant to what the students are learning and

have meaning for them are brought into the presentation and discussion of what they are

learning. When a subject is presented in a way that is both concrete and easy to understand, it

helps students get over their fears and realize how important it is to learn it. (Wang, Sun, &

Wickersham, 2017).

Contextualization could be a way to help improve the culture of the Philippines. Using

instructional materials to contextualize may be like tapping into the creative juice of a learner's

colorful and imaginative brain. The beauty and richness of contextualized instruction lie between

the most important context of moral wisdom and the most amazing Filipino values that need to

be taught to young people, who will carry the torch of freedom and unique Filipino idealism.
